That is not the definition of terrorism

One guy had set 4 bombs with 3 other people who are still at large.

You dont see the difference ?
he does.
The word 'terrorism', semantically refers to the idea of blowing up bombs in a Paris subway or something, in the hopes of the govt. meeting your political demands, And so you 'terrorize' the public until they give in, and keep them in a state of terror. This is nothing like that. There'd be no basis for good-faith categorizing it as terrorism.
The official usage of terrorism has been so diluted that it can refer to just about anything. IF you go back to the original word it will apply to the NOLA attack, if it walks like a duck.

Georgia is going to attempt to run the ball down NDs throat

Yes I do understand, and recognize the otherside of the coin. I am just thrilled of the possibilities of what a MF tenure can do.
I would of never thought the importance of of youthful coach could have this impact, but with the times being what they are in today's college football he's probably the right person at the right time, and I'm not naive to the possible demand for him eleswhere. ND needs to find away to lock him down until he's done with college football.
If he went back to OSU, and with their ability to sell their soul for a championship he probably could make them the most feared team on the landscape
I am also not foolish enough to take Ga lightly, but putting each team side by side and all things being equal I think MF charisma is what propels ND to the win, much like Lou Holtz seem to have the ability to do IMHO
Freeman has done a GREAT JOB. No one was MORE NEGATIVE over his hiring than me. Whatever he's doing, he's GETTING IT RIGHT. And I don't doubt his CHARISMA will be a POSITIVE. But for me, this game is more about PURE PHYSICS -- speed, size, force, mass, momentum and DURABILITY.

ND has not played a team like this all year. My concern is that on a POUND FOR POUND BASIS, Georgia may still hold THAT GREATER TALENT/GREATER DEPTH/SIGNATURE SEC ADVANTAGE.

Because until a Freeman ND team beats a team of Georgia's ILK, it will be impossible to know if ND has indeed TURNED THE CORNER versus that kind of TALENT.

Fortunately, we have only about 13 hours -- AS I TYPE THIS -- until GAME TIME.

Bye week

Define best? By F+? The best teams don’t lose to Vandy and OU, we can’t award teams playoff spots based on recruiting rankings/talent- it must be proven on the field.
Playoff committee top 12 seeding.

But make sure you have a healthier mix of committee members (mathmaticians, economists, intellectuals, engineers, IT professionals, etc.) in on these discussions and voting -- not just a bunch of old industry insiders who are looking at the game in the same myopic way

Bye week

A bye is a huge benefit. The problem isn't the bye its just that the teams that got them sucked.

Next year:
  • Best 12 (even if all 12 are SEC teams)
  • Top 4 highest seeded teams should get byes (no autobids -- keep conference championship achievement entirely separate of the national title bracket)
  • Lean a lot more heavily on opponent quality and luck metrics when deciding top 12 (over win-loss record)
See this thread for what the playoff would look like this year using that criteria: https://notredame.forums.rivals.com...committee-were-competent-for-a-second.193931/

The product would be 1,0000000000000000000000000000 times better.

So it is. I spoke too soon. I was watching the games and the initial report I glanced at didn't mention terrorism and it appeared to have enough of the hallmarks of a loan gunman type scenario, which would not be at all surprising in this country. Where those things happen all the time to varying degrees of death and destruction, and if this guy was a vet as reported, he might be more inclined to go ham with it. And in any case it didn't sound like a terrorist attack at first blush. And it's nevertheless true that the war on terror is never ending, and is almost like a self fulfilling prophecy.

I don't want to get in an argument over this but I don't care what the families think. Grieving families don't decide policy for an entire nation. And there's no evidence that I'm privy to at least that advanced surveillance is implemented with any of the safeguards you allude to. The direct opposite is indeed the whole point of domestic surveillance.
Advanced surveillance just detected individuals planting bombs

So maybe you should consider rethinking your position

Attack on Bourbon St

Just like the Catholic Church once did, Islam needs a process of exegesis. I am sure you heard that term. The Islamic world is working itself in modernity.

Obviously it is a painful and costly process. Mostly to themselves. There is massive strife in Islamic societies, costing many lives, loss of GDP, and a cycle of violence.

At such scale, it hurts the world. Even in Islamic communities in the West. This is going to be a long enough process.

You’re kidding right, or do you really want to compare what happened 600 years ago with what’s happening today

Jim Harbaugh

8 - 2.5

You can't come back from that. There's nothing you can say. Game. Set. Match.

8 - 2.5
And don’t forget 1993, when Notre Dame had the same record as Florida State, and Notre Dame beat Florida State rather easily, and yet Florida State was voted the national championship as a sympathy vote for Bobby Bowden

Notre Dame beat Florida State
Florida State did not beat Notre Dame

Jim Harbaugh

So what? He was ineligible and he played.

The coaches and administration knowing or not knowing does not matter. Ineligible player(s) participating equals automatic vacating of wins. It is just that simple.
Of course it matters, if the coaches and administrators don’t know that a player is ineligible, how can they possibly sit him out?

It’s not as simple as you’d like to make it for a number of reasons

The players involved
were officially found to be ineligible AFTER they played, NOT before they played.

And the student involved in the tutoring was NOT an employee or representative of the university.

The NCAA’s ruling was an enormous departure from prior precedent, which held that the party involved had to be an employee or representative of university.

In this case, it was a student, NOT an employee or representative of the university.

You’d have to be a total moron to equate the reason for the vacating of the wins in2012-2013 and the blatant and premeditated cheating on the part of Michigan’s coaches

But maybe you’re that stupid

Football Graduation Rates of the remaining teams in the playoff

I thought you had to maintain some sort of graduation rate. I remember UConn hoops had some academic violation that I thought was tied to graduation rate about a decade ago. Ill have to read up on exactly what that was

A little different. I wonder if APR still exists

Football Graduation Rates of the remaining teams in the playoff

Notre Dame - 99%
Penn State - 89%
Ohio State - 87%
Texas - 75%
Georgia - 41%

Notre Dame is graduating their players and playing at an elite level.

I’ve never seen a college QB that can throw like Tom Brady.

So what.

You implied that the coaches and the administration knew, now you’re saying it was just the players.

You’re also ignoring the details behind the ruling that declared them ineligible, a spurious and absurd ruling by the NCAA
He knows, he just wants to say "ineligible players" as many times as he can. It's a purely circular statement like saying criminals did something illegal.
Why do some Big 10 Football fans hang out here and troll this Forum?

Why?
Apparently this board moderates the ND fans a lot more than other passersby fans.
