Ole Miss & Georgia

Out to where? I’m curious. Name a job that will be open soon that is a step up for Lane Kiffin that is a better job than Mississippi, a place where he recruits well, especially the transfer portal, and who is paying him amongst the top 10 head coaches in CFB?
Better than Ole Miss? that could be open soon. Florida, Bama, Michigan, USC, Oklahoma.
ACC is just as tough as the SEC. ESPN will never argue that though. I should have said unless Alabama or Georgia are conference champs they won't jump an 11-1 ND.
The SEC has the best 1-loss team and the two best 2-loss teams, see both polls and computers. All of those won good out of conference matchups early in the year. That is why the #5 seed is valuable and why it sucks that it is probably going to the loser of the BUGCG . The 5th seed will likely play Boise at home and then the Big12 champion (fringe top 20 Arizona St?) in the next round; dodging the strong SEC teams.

Cignetti Renews Contract

I don't know how many years you can build your team through the portal. Fla St. was very successful last year utilizing it but you almost have to hit on every player because they're likely short term players. Adding to a solid roster built through recruiting with portal players in specific areas of need is ideal. I just don't think you can do it in large numbers year after year. Hard to establish a culture that way in my opinion.
Lane Kiffin is benefiting from the portal.

Thats true, echo.....but.....Cignetti has demonstrated his skills with the portal. Its the new "signing day" thing. We will know more in the off season.

What Indiana is doing has been great for college football. The question becomes is this season for them an anomaly or the beginning of something sustainable ? I would definitely lean to the former as their roster certainly isn't built yet for the latter.

JOK career may be over

This is why players should be earning millions of dollars as soon as they reach the FBS because this is a violent sport and all it takes is one hit to ruin your entire career all the while you are making millions to billions of dollars collectively for your school as soon as you're about 18 years old

How many schools would cancel their football programs immediately. Very few could even entertain such an idea
