Is that for sure, 'cause maybe if he was stronger he would have avoided the injury, like if his legs were stronger. And it's possible to decrease the incidence of common football injuries by virtue of greater physical, bodily strength by which to withstand them, before something like a knee ligament strains and then tears altogether. Including the one that Mills suffered. I don't know if that's true in that case at all, and probably isn't. But that's the idea. Their bodies aren't strong enough! They crave greater sinew!

We need a new S & C guy! Too many injuries!
I can agree with that.

My issue is not the injuries from hits , rolled up on , landed wrong etc.
It’s the injuries like bothello and traore where they were running and made a cut and boom ACL injury. No one even touched them guys and they went down for the season. There is something to these injuries that are off and we saw the same thing in 2015-16 until we hired Balis. Remember 2016 game I believe vs Texas home opener. Taurean Folston made a quick cut up field and again torn ACL. Done for the season. Was never even touched. There’s something off here.

Offense Needs to Step Up

People don’t realize how big of an impact Mills had. It’s not just him clogging up the middle and blowing up runs. He is a lethal pass rusher and even when he doesn’t get there, he destroys any semblance of a pocket. How many interceptions or incompletions do you think were because Mills blew up a clean pocket and the QB either panicked or could not see the field, forcing a ball that wasn’t there.

Getting pressure from the inside just can’t be replicated from anyone else on the roster. Young may help on the edge, but we won’t be collapsing the pocket and disrupting passing lanes like we did with Mills.
Well said. Great post.

Mills is a disrupter and a big time difference maker on D. Big, high leverage passing downs......Mills is the dude who disrupts and makes it easy for teammates to make big plays.

This is true. Mills injury had nothing to do with S and C coach.
