Officially Official Sugar Bowl ND v. UGA Game Thread

Lol been reading Driskell on Twitter, the guy is the biggest hack in the business. He will not concede the point -even despite all the evidence -- that Georgia has the more talented roster.

Yea ok Driskell, ND has the more athletic 85 man roster than the team with the 2nd highest graded roster in the country.

Georgia has 14 5 star players on their roster to Notre Dame's 1 five star

Georgia has another 15 players in the composite top 100 on top of that.

Almost half of Georgia's 85 man roster is composite top 100 talent. Georgia by any measure out there has absolutely dominated the recruiting rankings and talent rankings

If Notre Dame had that kind of talent under this coaching staff they would be unbeatable And they would certainly be more than a 1.5 point favorite versus PSU

There is not as much tradition left as you might think, and each year or two there's less.
Some how one professional league is not good enough for some, and to make things professional you will need to eliminate more of the tradition. The same tradition that made college football one of the greatest games in this country.
From what i understand the universities don't want to make these players employees, some (I wonder what that number really is) obviously don't want to be students.
By removing this off the college campuses elevates the damages to the tradition obstacles that concern you have, and allows all the major corporations to buy a team in each state.....
Problem solved
Well stated. And this is why I love CFB less and less evert year. It's the old rules and traditions that made the game great. Unfortunately, everything goes the way of money.

Does This Short Week Hurt the Irish?

Georgia was a 1.5 point spreads and game was the only toss up of the week. ND is a 2 point favorite and in another tossup game.

I like that Freeman doesn't complain about anything. But if he had his choice he would have wanted an extra day or two of rest as well.

Anytime anywhere absolutely. If they changed the game to us playing the Chiefs he and ai would say the same thing. But we all know the Chiefs would be a tougher game than Penn State, right? He would still say anywhere anytime . Doesn't mean it would be his preference
13 point win is not a tossup. I was just applying your logic, not mine. I don't give a crap about the spread. They don't decide games. Another example of worrying about circumstances you can't control.

So are you saying you can speak for Freeman's prefences?

Nasty: “our dline sucked”

Georgia center: “they’re great great team w/ a bunch of dogs up front”

I’m trying hard to figure out which one to believe. 🤔
I never said they sucked and they did NOT suck, they just weren’t dominating like some believe

They played very sound, tough, physical, and did their job to let the lbs flourish

Well by that logic, ND is more talented and are favored. So the rest means nothing.

13 point win is not a toss up.

Lots of coaches complain about their circumstances. Freeman doesn't and that's one of the things I appreciate about him.

You have a tendency to worry about the things you can't control. Just like you said ND got screwed getting the 7th seed. When you're a competitor, you don't worry about the circumstances. Anytime, anywhere. That's what Freeman has done with this team.

Ohio state was favored. Meant nothing. They are more talented

Nd Georgia was the only toss up game and we won

What coach is going to complain about their circumstances? What did you expect him to say? He's not BK. He's not going to put excuses out in the universe and he shouldn't. I wouldn't either.

I'm not worried about it. But to say an extra day of rest wouldn't be beneficial to a beat up team is just wrong

Can we talk about the effin refs?

Don’t be idiotic here. If a ball hits a defender before/at the same time as contact with the offensive player , how can that be a penalty for Pass Interference? Again, don’t be dumb. It’s called a shit throw
It doesn’t matter if the ball hits the defender before or at the same time as contact with the offensive player.

If the defender plays the player and never looks for the ball, it’s pass interference even though the ball hits the defender in the back

I guess for you, ignorance is bliss

Read the rule

Well when the players eventually strike, we can put your intransigence to the test. Schools don't want that, it looks really tacky, makes them look really greedy, which is why they're trying to nip it in the bud and offer them a paltry 20% of the gross. But one thing the schools definitely want is elite level players. They're not going to lock them out and play walk on level players. Because that's what would be the end of CFB. And the end of all that money!
Please let them strike, and the games will go on. Because there a certainties

Fans love cheering on there favorite teams regardless of who the players are, and show up to the games

Universities will still get TV money, playoff money

All the while these players on the picket line will be an after thought

I disagree here, they will have two 32-34 team conferences like the AFC/NFC at some point in the not so distant future.

I have listened to coaches like Saban and Meyer talk about this for a decade and they’ve been very accurate on where it was going, so I tend to think they’ll be right on this as well.

Don’t be shocked if Saban is the head of the entire thing within a few years from now.
but not ONE huge super-conference, which is what I said.
