I agree that WBB doesn't have as much depth as the MBB when it comes to really good teams so the WBB team should go farther. the men could have a good shot at the sweet sixteen depending on who's in there in there bracket
Depends on the situation. Mens BB has not been really nationally prominent all that much over the last 20 years like the Womens Have for the last 10 at least. Expectations for the WBB are MUCH higher. So if both made it to the round of 16 and then lost for the women that would be a seriously down year while for the men it would have been the highlight of the last 20.
Women's basketball is unwatchable. Generally only a few good teams each year and they're the same programs all the time. UCONN will win the national title in easy fashion again.

I lost all interest in basketball back when Digger was running the stall. Get a five point lead and start killing the clock. Talk about boring.
Started attending WBB games in the late 90s. The difference in style of play makes the women's game much more interesting to me.
That said, the Lady Irish are a serious contender for the final four. The men are not.

67-60 win against North Carolina State 16 -13(7-9 conference) Is not that great at the end of the season preparing for ACC championship or the NCAAs .Having followed the girls all season ,haven't seen any major improvement in their game .ACC championship will tell in preparation for NCAAs .
I agree Izo somewhat but you have to realize that there still a pretty young team with a huge target on there back and playing in the toughest conference in wbb. coach McGraw talked in her presser about playing two freshman bigs at the same time yesterday. hey usc lost yesterday so our irish should be the number two overall seed behind UConn if they win the acc postseason tournament
It isn't just a question of depth. ND's women's team is a perennial top ten team. The men's team is having a nice season but they are no where near as consistent.
