Where are all the Riley critics?

And you're still here day after day, hour after hour, contributing nothing from an ND Football standpoint.
Stay in your lane 409. We all know you and your bff golson5 are Nintendo buddies taking turns playing in each others parents basements.

Anyone with even a shred of football intelligence knows or knew that Riley Leonard was not or likely will never be anything more than a competent downfield passer at best. Given the framework of the offense that is all he needs to be. Excellent in read option and RPO and a very good decision maker. Protect the football, keep the sticks moving and score points. That's what they've been doing. The defense is outstanding and it's unlikely they will find themselves in a " shootout" unless there is an uncharacteristic amount of turnovers on offense. Leonard is best suited to run the offense for 2024.

Fair enough. I dont want to start taking and receiving personal shots. Stop coming here and starting shit all the time.

It's a fun time to be an nd fan. We're in the thick of the playoff race. Add something of substance to the board.

One would hope so. This rental QB BS needs to end
It's gonna stop. But the last few years, we've just simply missed with QB recruits....

Start Buchner?
Start Pyne?
Start true soph Angeli?

Noway. Coan and Hartman and Leonard were all better options.

It'll stop next season w Carr, Angeli, or Minchey seizing the job.

Damn, I couldn't agree more with that. And all I possess is a layman's football intelligence, and whatever I can gather as an avid fan and spectator. However I don't think RL is best suited to run 'this' offense. 'This' offense is one I would strongly surmise has been fine-tuned and adapted to suit RL's skill set shall we say. And could be adapted differently to suit a different QB. So as long as our offense is geared towards a dual threat QB expressly, then RL is definitely the man.

As far as a shootout goes, USC could easily be up for that. And of course the playoff will provide better competition.

I didn't want another transfer portal qb but RL is playing better as the season moves along and is very tough to defend. I expect this team to get to the playoffs.
He has been playing well, but let's at least keep
it in perspective. Let's keep in mind the competition he's played against. Granted the schedule is the schedule, and if ND finishes 11-1 and hosts a playoff game, it's a win. I'm just concerned about his play when he faces an actual good defense. I know the pro RL folks will point to A&M, but that team is playing completely different since week 1, just like RL has improved, so has A&M.
