We have a few random recruiting nuggets, so I though it might be best to just place them in here for a quick read.

Liam Eichenberg [/B]
Cleveland St. Ignatius three-star offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg was at Notre Dame last weekend for an unofficial visit. By all accounts we have heard that the visit went well, but Eichenberg's father hasn't let us speak with his son following the visit. We're not sure why we're not allowed to make contact, and we're hoping to soon, but with that being said, here's what we do know about the visit.

Eichneberg's father said the entire family -- from his grandparents to his little brother -- was blown away. His exact words: "Our entire family enjoyed the trip to ND … special place. OSU this weekend … difficult act to follow."

And he's right, it will be difficult for Ohio State to match the family's experience at Notre Dame.

Eichenberg was one of just a handful of recruits on campus last weekend, so he got plenty of one-on-one attention from the Notre Dame coaching staff. That likely won't be the case at Ohio State this weekend. Initial reports out of Columbus are that they Buckeyes are expecting over 20 recruits to be at their spring game on Saturday, which will spread the personnel staff thin on the sidelines. Eichenberg will still be a priority for the Buckeyes given his looming decision, but it's going to be the complete opposite of what he saw at Notre Dame last weekend in terms of the environment.

Will that be enough to push Notre Dame in front? We're not sure, but all signs are pointing to Notre Dame right now.

Troy Warner
San Marco (Calif.) Mission Hills three-star cornerback Troy Warner will take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame next week with his 7-on-7 team. Warner, who committed to Oregon back on April 4, was one of the Irish's top targets in the secondary before he came off the board, but he still wants to give Notre Dame a look.

Warner said on Tuesday that he's solid to Oregon, but "if something really jumps out to me while I'm [at Notre Dame] things could change."

Notre Dame has obvious needs in the secondary this cycle, and Warner was one of the first offers that went out once defensive backs Todd Lyght was in place. It will be interesting to see how it plays out given the fact that Notre Dame and Oregon aren't exactly the same type of school. We expect the staff to put on the press while he's on campus and push for an official down the line.

4th Offensive Lineman
Notre Dame coaches told Hartland (Wis.) Arrowhead Rivals100 offensive tackle Tommy Kraemer. It's a sound plan on paper -- and the staff would certainly like to close with those two -- but there's a chance that a fourth offensive lineman could end up in the class, if the Irish find the right guy.

One candidate is Indianapolis Decatur Central three-star guard Trent Maynard, who will visit on Saturday for the Blue-Gold Game. Maynard has been on campus before and is one of the top lineman in the state, so he's going to get it a look from the staff. But it should be noted, that outside of him, the board is beginning to shrink.

Murrieta (Calif.) Mesa Rials250 tackle Willie Allen is likely the next come off the board to Ole Miss. It will be an interesting spring evaluation period for the offensive line group as new names could emerge.

Smith
Jordan was able to confirm a report earlier this week that New Orleans (La.) Brother Martin tight end Cary Angeline -- who visits this weekend --- Smith is a prospect to watch at the position. He's the son of former Notre Dame tight end Irvin Smith Sr. and his stock is on the rise with recent offers from Texas and Vanderbilt. Angeline is the priority at tight end, but Smith is a talented prospect with ties to the school that's being evaluated.

Spring Game Visitors [/B]
It looks like it will be a small group of visitors for the Blue-Gold Game on Saturday. Given the fact that it's being played at the LaBar Practice Complex, that's probably a good thing with limited space on the sidelines and in the stands. We're expecting a large number of 2015 signees to be on hand along with some 2016 recruits.

Here's the list…

2016[/I]
3-star TE Cary Angeline -- offer.
3-star RB Tony Jones (ND commit)
3-star OG Trent Maynard
3-star ATH Chris Taylor-Yamanhoa
2-star LS John Shannon (ND commit)
DE Ben Kimpler

2017[/I]
Rivals100 CB Isaiah Pryor
DB R.J. Potts

Before anyone asks about Rivals100 defensive end Josh King, we spoke with someone inside his camp, and they said he has wrestling this weekend so he can't visit. The take away from that? He's not visiting other schools this weekend, either.
