can someone explain how UConn hardly ever gets fouls called against them. they said last weekend during a game that top two in the nation in the fewest fouls catagory
Because they play such good fundamental defense that they don't get out of position and therefore don't NEED to foul? Like asking why a dominant offensive line doesn't get called for holding very often...
UCONN is good and I give them credit. They are a legitimate dynasty.
But the refs are sometimes caught up in the hype as much as the fans.
They are in awe of UCONN players and Auriemma. UCONN players
get the benefit of the doubt from the zebras on nearly every call, and
certainly moreso when it's crunch time.
There was the Jordan Rules for MJ.
There is definitely the UCONN Rules for womens bball.
