2016 Bama D gave up 43 to Ole Miss and 30 to Arkansas. 2016 Clemson gave up 36 to UL, 35 to VT and 43 to Pitt.

We may not win another game w/ a repeat defensive performance like that. Let’s hope it was more about having a big lead and not about weaknesses being exposed. Reminded me of pre-2017 defenses. Pressure on the qb was gonna be tough because they were getting rid of it too quickly, but can our dbs react to the short stuff? This was maddening and a better team would’ve beaten us. I’m not jumping ship but this game sucked defensively. Tranquil looked lost and our dline made no plays. Dbs were awful. Like I said, let’s hope it was a case of the defense reading their press clippings and not a harbinger of what’s to come.

Labeling the sky is falling crowd is a weak effort to shut down any conversation. Problem is, that's why we have this forum, to converse about the game whether others like opposing analysis or not. I don't believe BK and his staff use the model of "if it's OK that Bama did it, then it must be OK for us". BK not happy with the "D"". Some of you think everything is fine and that's fine but I'm going with BK on this one.

I need another team to root for? Why is that? I guess you think you have to paint a rosy picture no matter what. Our defense didn’t look good from the beginning all the way thru. If wake can do that, Miami and Stanford can too. I specifically said that it may have been because we were up big but the bottom line is that our defense sucked yesterday, from start to finish. That’s not good when we are trying to finish strong down the stretch. I don’t need another team to root for, you need to pull your head out of the sand and admit our defense was terrible yesterday. There’s concern there whether you wanna admit it or not.

Exactly. No one here giving wake any credit. The game is over. Miami totally different on offense. Navy likely to get lots of yards and score some points too. All I care about is winning as a fan and as a coach. Win first and foremost and clean up the things you struggled with going forward.

Boom. Been called a troll and a fake fan because I said Saturday was a bad day for the d and for Adams heisman candidacy and POSSIBLY for Tuesday's playoff ranking. Just don't get how that's me saying the sky is falling.

I'm not sure how convincing if a win it was for Clemson over Wake Forest. Were they up 28-7 then Wake scored a last second touchdown? Or was Wake in it the whole game until Clemson pulled away in the end? I'm guessing that even though Notre Dame won by less, we played better than Clemson against them.

Could someone who actually saw the game tell me?

I actually saw the game and the off camera body language, should of, could of dropped passes,missed tackles, and, at times, half hearted arm tackling was in plain view. You don't have to take my word for it. Listen to BKs post game presser. He actually said that this was unnecessary. He actually said that there will be more attention to the WRs catching the ball at practice. He actually said that focus was lacking. This is all from the head guy himself, not some disillusioned fan base. He never said one thing about the Bama score over an opponent or what Clemson did in their game with Wake. He's happy his guys won. We are all happy they won. That doesn't erase what the coaching staff will discuss with the team. If anyone has a problem with this analysis, take it up with BK. His sentiment isn't based on what Bama or Clemson has done in the past.

No concern here. A mediocre defensive effort against an impressive offensive performance. After ND took the lead, the game was never in doubt.
