The committee is full of highly intelligent people that look at college football from a different angle than most of the ignorant ape like talking heads at ESPN.
Most of the fools at ESPN don't even know many of the players on the different playoff contender teams.
Many of them don't know who Jaylon Smith or Sheldon Day or Elijah Shumate are. The committee looks at how GOOD the players are on teams and how deep the team is. They see how Notre Dame plugs in talented replacements for injured players like Josh Adams for CJ or Deshone Kizer for Malik Zaire.
The committee said last week that Notre Dame was a solid #4 team and the 5 to 11 teams were distant from #4 but close to each other---by the way many of those 5 to 11 teams lost Saturday--like LSU, Stanford and Baylor.
The Irish are in a better position than most of the other teams because they already played their tough part of the schedule and should not lose the rest of the way--- I knew Baylor was going to lose (Navy would beat them) and I know Oklahoma State is going to get beat down by Oklahoma and Iowa sucks and they will get crushed by Ohio State (and Michigan is going to beat Ohio State). Oklahoma is NOT going to get in over ND if they both finish 11 and 1. The committee will look at the one loss closely- They will note ND lost by 2 points in a MONSOON at the #1 teams house. They will also note that Oklahoma lost by 7 points to a bad team (Texas) at a neutral site.---and they will note that ND crushed Texas 38 to 3.
So in closing I think that many people over analyze the thinking of the committee as to what they look at--I just explained what they look at--It is as simple as that.
The Irish are going to win out including a win over a good Stanford team on the road and will be in the playoff.
Just win out baby !! And ND is in !!
Go Irish !!
Beat BC !!
