1. at Texas--WIN most likely as Charlie Strong continues to struggle (assuming he is still there)

2. Nevada--GUARANTEED WIN

3. Mich. St.--TOSS UP

4. Duke--WIN most likely but you never know with Cutcliff.

5. at Syracuse--WIN most likely as Coach Dino Babers will start building a new program.

6. at NC St.--WIN most likely but you never know as NC St. manages to pull of an upset every year.

7. Stanford--LOSS--Just too many great athletes that are well coached.

8. Miami--TOSS UP--Coach Mark Richt is a seriously talented coach with a seriously talented young team.

9. at Navy--GUARANTEED ANUAL WIN

10. at Army--GUARANTEED WIN

11. Va. Tech--WIN most likely. However, Coach Justin Fuente is the real deal rebuilding the Hokies.

12. at USC--LOSS--This assumes Coach Clay Helton has his act together by then with all that talent.

10&2 or 9&3 season with an invitation to the Music City Bowl vs. the SEC runner up or another Bowl vs. Michigan, Ohio State or Michigan State.

Beware, Duo is another FSU troll.

Rather than coming here why not explain how FSU was trounced by Houston?

I think his analysis isn't bad, not sure about losing to SC, I'm not sold on Helton, but Stanford will be elite, State's a toss up and Miami could be really good or really bad. 9-3 and a trip to the Russell Bowl to play OK State.

Steve...............

Beat USC and ND might go 11&1

Stanford is at home and breaking in a new QB. ND healthy on defense beats Stanford this year on the road. Next year at home ND beats Stanford. Too many athletes on offense. Iowa was a dream match up for Stanford. No speed and play makers for Iowa.

ND ain't no Iowa. ND executes half way decent in the Red Zone they put 50 on Stanford this year.

My 1st opinion re ND next yr is St Brown - Boykin - Alize Jones all have to emerge in a big way . If they do the offense will not miss a beat . IMO Kelly and staff have to get Jones and Smythe involved in the passing game a lot more . These are two talented kids who can make plays .

The QB coronation will be pure theater .

Re Defense - STAY HEALTHY !!!

IF St Brown and Boykin are legit ND can win every game on the schedule

OK then..............if that is true and ND can field the same starter at QB through out the season you might be talking 10&2 or even 11&1. ND's Achilles heel is the D.

Lets' see who is returning ? Is Fuller back ? Texas is going to be a tough game without him . New season for the longhorns . That is a key game obviously. Mich St and Stanford at home helps bigtime. USC ? They are pretty bad right now. The key is Fuller to return and the development of the defense. I though Trumbetti played a good game .The Dline has Rochelle and Jones . Tillery ? Up and down year. cage? the same . Who else ? Would love to have seen Grace return( why didn't he play all year ??) . Going into the Texas game ND maybe playing with 2 new LB's( Morgan ,and Coney) and 2 new players in the secondary with only Luke returning and Redfield being a disappointment. This first game can be a tough one. Texas has beaten some good teams.

You realize it's the Hurricanes and not the Dolphins, right?

Miami is a guarantee win the same for SC the only thing NOT guaranteed is the how well the defense plays against top team at season end.

The offense will works its way across the the ACC weaks w/o a hitch but Texas could be a problem to open with and MSU will be tough

Shaw law off............

Before you write Miami off consider the level of talent on the team. When Al Golden was the coach he absolutely had no clue on offense.....none. In addition, he stuck by his long time buddy as defensive coordinator WAY past the time when he should have replaced him. That lasted until Clemson blew them out 58 to 0 and the school plus alumni just couldn't take it any more. What is amazing is the team actually has a lot of talent!

Enter Mark Richt and everything is changing big time. All new coaches, all new systems. It's like when Jimbo Fisher replaced 7 assistants in 2013 and then won the NC. And now the recruiting at Miami is making an even bigger improvement going after the talent in the South Florida área. (where ND has been recruiting a lot lately).

So, can the Florida kids at ND beat the Florida kids at Miami? Maybe, maybe not. But, one thing is for sure, it's no automatic win. Mark Richt and Miami will come to South Bend fully prepared. Beware!

Alot can change....What If Mccaffrey gets injured??? And ND stays healthy??? Let's see how we look after the spring.

GET BETTER!!!

Stanford has seven seniors that started on offense this past year. That includes the qb. They will not be elite.

coach maybe I am a homer and I know 12-0 is difficult. I believe as long as we have better luck in the injury department and the D improves. There is no one on that schedule that is better. I am not a person that thinks Mich st is all that good. I am not saying there won't be some close games and near heart attacks from our fans but our offense even with Procise (sp) and fuller gone we will be difficult to stop. On D I know part of the answer is lack of injuries --- I hope the coaches address the other areas

As much as Duo is a mindless troll that is here only as part of the noletroll clan that has nothing better to do than stalk this ND board, he does make us all laugh sometimes. Let's take a look

He actually didn't do badly until he got to Stanford. Stanford graduates 7 offensive starters. ND had them beat at Stanford, even with all the injuries, and this clown thinks ND will get beat at home? This game will be tough, but calling it a sure loss ignores this year's game and Stanford's losses.

Miami is a toss up at ND? That made me laugh.

9. at Navy--GUARANTEED ANUAL WIN
Now I am not sure what an "anual win" actually is, but we could go ask OSU or South Carolina how much of an annual win Navy is. No respect for Navy from a poster that supports a school being investigated by the Justice Department - once again a noletroll proves to be the poster child for the underclass of America.

12. at USC--LOSS--This assumes Coach Clay Helton has his act together by then with all that talent.
Again, wow. Do you watch any football? Helton is not a good coach, and most USC folks know it.

Good luck with the feds.

That SOS will be top 25 once again. Hardly a "dumbed down" one easy schedule like you see from most major teams.

dumbed down schedule hardly . (texas will be better, Mich St, USC, Stanford and most of the others are good teams and bowl teams. maybe we have some dumbed down posters

Those teams you've put up are the meat of the schedule, and NOT one is an ACC member

Say what you want about Swarbrick but he was smart enough to get out of the way of the Harbaugh train. Kudos to him.

Duke, NCst , Miami, Navy are not exactly laughers they are quality opponents

Zona.............

The only thing I can say about this is Duke, NC State and Miami might sneak up and bite you.

Regarding Navy..........it just seems that most years ND plays down to the level of Navy but still manages to beat them handily every year. Also, just look at Navy's schedule............going 10&2 or whatever with their schedule is just not a big deal.

Like when. GT bit uhmmm, that wasn't the Irish.
When fans whined about playing Houston of the AAC, but got blindsided with a Coug win, oh wait, that wasn't the Irish either.

An FSU fan mocking Navy's schedule? Sagarin has FSU SOS rated at 51 which is an improvement over last week's 66, (bet the Noles will even get a bump if Clemson wins the Natty)

......and here;s some trivia for you, da U hasn't beaten the Irish since 1989. The last time the Irish lost to Miami at home was 1984. Think the Irish are going to be a good team in 2016, and I"ll take the Irish at home to beat Miami.

ND will be fine.

They don't have tough opponents like say..... Houston on their schedule

Quality opponents yes but not resume builders unless they finished high in the polls and what are the chances of that?

Duke posiblly with their recent run. Navy will be replacing a bunch of quality players

Ahhh the good old Wolverine spin about why ND ended the series. Never a mention about how the Michigan's former AD and the expansion happy B1G commissioner played huge roles in ending the series.

Glad to see that the honeymoon with Harbaugh will continue into season number two..

Another dumb post, in a long line of them, from our resident rival idiot. It would bolster your argument if Navy hadn't beaten ND 3 times in the last eight years. They continue to beat teams from your beloved ACC & give top ten teams all they can handle when they play them, but you continue to try & degrade them as if they're not a difficult opponent to prepare for, & play, no matter who you are. Enough of the Navy nonsense, duo, you sound uninformed when you talk about them. U wanna rag on Army, have at it, you'd be right. But Navy is a tough out for anyone & if your team played them every year, you'd understand that. I'd be quiet if I were you on this subject, you guys lost to Navy-lite (Ga Tech) :):):) this year, imagine what the Middies would've done to you. :):):):):):)

Hey Alice,

Good to hear from you. Hope you had a fun New Year's celebration. Yep, both ND and FSU got blasted in bowl games. It happens sometimes, especially during a rebuilding year.

Re: Miami

Now that Mark Richt is there and the program is well past NCAA disciplinary sanctions look for them to start rebuilding. The talent is there now and with Richt aboard more highly talented players are expected to join the team.

So Alice, the question remains...........Can Miami's Florida kids beat ND's Florida kids? Look for Miami to come to South Bend fully prepared. Looking at their record since the 80's is like looking at ND's record since the 80's.

The good news for ND in 2016 is by luck of the draw they will avoid Clemson, FSU and UNC in their ACC schedule.

And Alice, be sure to remember your Conference Pride and root for Clemson in the NC this year. It's a great feeling and that will make all the teams in the ACC just that much better! Two National Championships in three years by beating the SEC Champs in both of those years would be a great accomplishment!

Enjoy.............Happy New Year!

Good news for FSU, Clemson and UNC is that they don't have to come to ND stadium in 2016. (it cuts both ways, Duo)

New brooms sweep clean, but even with MR at the helm, I look for the ND football team to beat the Miami team (not ND Florida kids vs da U's Florida kids).

No matter how you feel about ND football trivia, it's been since the last century since Miami has beaten ND.
Conference honk? I'll be rooting for Clemson due to the Irish playing them this season and my dislike for the SEC honks.

Nah, the conference honk reference was aimed at you. You're constantly honking the ACC in your threads,

ND ain't no Iowa. ND executes half way decent in the Red Zone they put 50 on Stanford this year.

The 'Ole Ball Coach is back with his hate of David Shaw and Stanford. He changed his screen name, but the same venom is there. What do you have against Stanford? Against Shaw? ND was a dream match up for Stanford because of its lousy defense. How come ND's vaunted offense didn't put away Stanford? At least Shaw wins big games. Go back to the film room coach.

Where did I say I "hated" David Shaw and everything I said was accurate. So you are just an agitator and a liar. And you are also obviously intimidated by the fact I coach the game? Lack of football knowledge messing with your self esteem perhaps?

ND offense did no put Stanford away because they did not execute in the Red Zone. Just like I said in my post, so instead of going out of your way to be a snarky wise ass, try improving your reading comprehension. Since you've shown yourself to be another in a long line of "baby brains" you're joining the mouth breather club. So long.

Lol I said the same when he was dogging me about Stanford, and how the Irish were going to beat them big.....mind you this is after his name change.

I do agree with his point about ND not executing in the red zone as to the reason the Irish lost....though when I was posting that he was blasting me for it
