NO he's not Pirate Jack - I think Jack is partially blind. He cant be watching what is really going on during games down on the field. He is too busy mingling w/ large donors.
Jack is a wine and cheese guy except instead of vintage bottles he sends them back and asks for the newest stuff to go along with the Kraft singles.

That was funny. I think the real message from Jack to us is a big middle finger.
Jack's comments were measured and somewhat scripted. They in and of themselves tell us nothing about Kelly's future. Having said that....he will return unless he lands a gig...and apparently, Notre Dame is ok with him looking.

He's not going to fire the guy after 1 bad season. Also after giving him an extension. If BK has another he will be gone.
BK built up calateral for the 2012 season. That was just cashed in for this year.

Right, if you read the conversation he had, he is very cryptic with his comments. He only said that Kelly voiced his commitment to the program (which came before the end of the year) much like Kelly did before the NC game several years ago. He's looking and entertaining any reasonable opportunity.
Swarbrick seems to think that he is a part of the football team. He manages the athletic program which includes the football team. He does not coach or instruct or teach. He watches. Period. Why does he have an office in the gulag? Why is he at practice all the time? He is not part of the coaching staff. He's CEO. Act like one.
Agree. Can't for the life of me understand how some people attach their self worth to a college football team. It takes me more than 30 seconds but good grief some need to just get a grip on life.
Why are u even on this message board ? People I know who have a faint interest in their teams sure as hell are not their teams message boards.
Brecause your assumptions are complretely foolish. I've been a die hard fan likely for longer than you've been alive. I'm also very self confident and don't feel the need to attack someone's character just to look cool and get likes. My life doesn't exist or benefit from being a message board icon.
Want to discuss coaching decisions I'm all in. Want to bash someone's character who you don't know just because it hurts your ego I'll call you out for being childish.
I did not bash your character - I questioned why if you really dont care that much if ND loses = and infer ND football is not all that important in the big scheme of things for "why you are even on this message board then?"
For your statement above - it is very pompous and I will call you out for that.
It's pompous to question why someone feels the need to bash someone's character they don't know or pompous to defend my love for ND to someone who doesn't know me. They both come back to the same thing - the need for some to use a message board to attack people to get recognized.
Very eloquent. Apologize for you thinking I attacked your character. Didn't mean too. Only wondered why your on this message board ? Now I know. You love ND. So do I.
Then what did he use for 2011, 2013 and 2014? The guy has failed in 5 of his 7 seasons.
Not now as I don't feel good or bad in message boards. Don't use them for self fulfillment.
