I'd rather see Texas. For one, I just think we match up better against them. And secondly, I live in Ohio amongst these intolerable OSU fans. If ND would happen to lose to OSU, I'd never hear the end of it
100%I gotta be honest.
Nothing would be better than beating OSU.
But nothing would be worse than losing to OSU.
I've been thinking that too.....The truth with OSU has to reside somewhere in the middle.
Mere weeks ago, they were in meltdown mode. There were serious talks about firing Ryan Day, their offense was completely held at bay against the worst Michigan team in 10 years, and some were arguing they may not even belong in the playoffs.
Now everybody is touting them the head-and-shoulders best team in America, as if they (and their two losses) are invincible.
I'd go with ESPN's FPI. They rate us around a 25.7 and them a 26.1. They would be the favorites, but I don't see why it would be some massive upset. We should be able to somewhat replicate what Michigan did to them.
Ohio State, no question.I'd rather see Texas. For one, I just think we match up better against them. And secondly, I live in Ohio amongst these intolerable OSU fans. If ND would happen to lose to OSU, I'd never hear the end of it
Um, we just played them last season. And should have won. So as far as that aspect of it goes, we should feel confident we could beat tOSU. No more monkey on the back, true. But we practically beat them a year ago. I feel like that would be the salient point.I don't know if I overly care who, but I'm thinking more about what the score ends up being of tonight's game.
If OSU beats Texas similar to how they beat OR/UT....that does not bode well for ND. At all. But if the score is 28-20, 27-23, 24-16, something along those lines, that's a good sign.
Having said that, OSU has pretty much dominated ND the last 5 times they've played them. They need to get that off their back. And they'd surely have whatever motivation is offered by hearing for a week and a half that they're going to get beat.
Bingo 👌🏼I gotta be honest.
Nothing would be better than beating OSU.

That is a good point. And we probably have a better shot against Texas. But we can beat either one.I'd rather see ND beat BOTH teams that played in the SEC championship game. Alcoholism will spike in the South as they try to process how in the hell Notre Dame got better than their entire conference.

Last year game was actually controlled by ND. Stats even across the boardI don't know if I overly care who, but I'm thinking more about what the score ends up being of tonight's game.

This is so true the 10 man defense did the Irish inUm, we just played them last season. And should have won. So as far as that aspect of it goes, we should feel confident we could beat tOSU. This is a FAR different OSU team. C'mon. Last year's game is irrelevant.Last year game was actually controlled by ND. Stats even across the board
