So who do you wanna see in Atlanta?

Texas because Ohio State is really hot and Georgia beat them twice so ya feel pretty good about facing Texas. That said, it would be incredible to redeem the 2023 loss to OSU (and 2022…and the other four losses since circa 1934 haha).

Ohio State. Because beating what is the best team in college football right now would make ND undisputedly the best college football team.

And it's a chance to beat a marque BIG team that has gotten the better of ND the last few games.

I think UT is the more favorable matchup, but I would have even more joy winning a NC over O$U.

I think O$U wins by 10.

OSU is currently on a roll. Chip Kelly has that offense clicking going into tonight’s game.
Don’t know if ND can cover their WR’s and they have 2 really good RB’s.

Feeling great about the road that they have paved so far - Hoosiers, Dawgs and Lions...would love to have them entertain a Longhorn

Something about this team. They find a way. I doubt any of us after the first half saw us making that come back.

Last week Faison. This week Greathouse.

Who will it be in the Nattty!!!!!

The truth with OSU has to reside somewhere in the middle.

Mere weeks ago, they were in meltdown mode. There were serious talks about firing Ryan Day, their offense was completely held at bay against the worst Michigan team in 10 years, and some were arguing they may not even belong in the playoffs.

Now everybody is touting them the head-and-shoulders best team in America, as if they (and their two losses) are invincible.

I'd go with ESPN's FPI. They rate us around a 25.7 and them a 26.1. They would be the favorites, but I don't see why it would be some massive upset. We should be able to somewhat replicate what Michigan did to them.

I've been thinking that too.....

They look unbeatable. But......Michigan kicked their asses just after Thanksgiving.

I like how you phrased that: the truth is somewhere in the middle.

If we catch them on the right night, maybe we can steal Michigan's formula and take that game??

Never thought I would say this, but I want to see Knapp! Hope like hell Baker is not our LT. If Knapp’s injury is serious and keeps him out, it will be interesting to see if Rudolph works Jagusah back to tackle. We desperately need these eleven days to get healthier! Both Texas and Ohio St are exceptionally talented. Ohio St is the hottest team going right now and explosive as hell. I think a victory over Ohio State would make this championship epic and one for the ages. If they beat Texas, they will be heavily favored. Love being the underdog.

I'd rather see Texas. For one, I just think we match up better against them. And secondly, I live in Ohio amongst these intolerable OSU fans. If ND would happen to lose to OSU, I'd never hear the end of it
Ohio State, no question.

The two universities are within 4 hours of each other, the Ohio State fan base literally despises Notre Dame, maybe more so than Michigan does, would be wonderful theatre.

Either way Texas or OSU is more talented than ND. And recent games of Texas against UGA and ASU show that Texas is probably more beatable sure. But remember every game has a life of its own. So in the end it doesn't matter. You just gotta suit up and beat em. That said, I want OSU.

I don't know if I overly care who, but I'm thinking more about what the score ends up being of tonight's game.

If OSU beats Texas similar to how they beat OR/UT....that does not bode well for ND. At all. But if the score is 28-20, 27-23, 24-16, something along those lines, that's a good sign.

Having said that, OSU has pretty much dominated ND the last 5 times they've played them. They need to get that off their back. And they'd surely have whatever motivation is offered by hearing for a week and a half that they're going to get beat.

Um, we just played them last season. And should have won. So as far as that aspect of it goes, we should feel confident we could beat tOSU. No more monkey on the back, true. But we practically beat them a year ago. I feel like that would be the salient point.

I'd rather see ND beat BOTH teams that played in the SEC championship game. Alcoholism will spike in the South as they try to process how in the hell Notre Dame got better than their entire conference.

I detest OSU more than any other team or fan base, so would love to see ND beat them. Everyone including the media has already given the trophy to the Nuts. Just when a team looks unbeatable is when they are most likely to lose. I think Texas wins tonight by 7. In any case Go IRISH!

That is a good point. And we probably have a better shot against Texas. But we can beat either one.

I was trying to not have a dog in this, but my reactions show I'm apparently rooting for Texas. :)

Last year game was actually controlled by ND. Stats even across the board

This is so true the 10 man defense did the Irish in
