Hard to believe he was capable of the drumming he gave ND last year when you know this is the guy he is.

Steve Sarkisian has had some rough times personally, so you can imagine that he's not the best frame of mind right now.

That being said, Sarkisian has a history of venting behind close doors (he bashed Cal at a Washington donor event after snatching peak recruiter Tosh Lupoi away) and open ones (he made fun of fancy uniforms at Pac-12 Media Day, and Oregon was quick to pounce). Saturday night, he went peak Sark Week on Saturday Night at the Salute To Troy event. The Salute to Troy is the official kickoff to the USC football season and an annual school-sponsored event for big donors and is usually a festive showing.

But it turned south pretty quickly when Sark took the stage in front of the USC players, staff, coaches, their families and friends and all the assorted donors.

We only have some tidbits of his antics via Twitter, but here are the key points that we can focus on.

  • Sarkisian was definitely drunk at the event and slurring his words during the speech. That's been confirmed by multiple sources at the party.
  • Sarkisian dropped an F-Bomb while introducing his team to the donors.

Sarkisian could not complete his speech and was pulled off stage by athletic director Pat Haden and former Trojan legend John McKay.

Sark apparently said some other inappropriate things during the speech that we cannot confirm at this time, but it sounds like a lot of Trojan donors who were present were not too happy with the proceedings. We'll update the post if we can confirm any of the other things.

It sure gives this Tweet a whole new level of meaning.

Nothing has changed there .... it continues to be a cesspool

Bring your dirtbags here if they can recruit or play football

Wow! If Kelly pulled something like this, he'd be cleaning out his office now.

No excuse for what Sark did last night, but I can certainly think of a few things Kelly has done that would refute your claim that he would be "cleaning out his office". Sark got an earful from Haden last night for sure, and Haden put out a statement that said Sark got his message "loud and clear."

1956-1958, 1959-1960, 1982-1984, 1985-1987, 2001-2002, and 2010-2013

I see what you are trying to do, but tell me again how many players have been kicked out of school for academic fraud under Kelly's watch in just the past few years? No need to cast stones, every good program has issues. That said, being drunk at a school event is pretty bad.

He wasn't drunk last night. It's a conspiracy by the NCAA and the media to make southern cal look bad. They all wish they could be Trojans.

I actually heard he was so drunk, his face looked like this...

I don't know why.....but this makes me happy.

I actually heard he was so drunk that he actually claimed that Pete Carroll didn't break any rules and ran a clean program. Talk about being wasted.

I heard he was so drunk last year during the Notre Dame game, he actually stopped his Offense from scoring after 2 Quarters because he wanted to get back to the bar, and thought scoring 100 points would make the game too long...

I heard he was so drunk that he actually believes southern cal isn't a historically dirty program that regularly finds itself on probation: 1956-1958, 1959-1960, 1982-1984, 1985-1987, 2001-2002, and 2010-2013. How soon until you're on probation again?

I heard he was so drunk, he read "Under the Tarnished Dome" cover to cover aloud to the crowd last night...

I heard he was so stupid drunk he said FSU never cheated and USC and FSU are respectable programs run by respectable people.

Wow, that's really wasted!

It's 2015 dipsh_t.

Oh, I see, DUI's, drunken fights with police, and other alcohol fueled incidents are only relevant within the the past 24 hours. Gotcha. You used the expression, "Booze On", not me. Just saying, maybe you shouldn't cast stones from that glass house...

Just pointing out your own hypocrisy and selective memory in the nicest possible way...

Selective memory? That's rich coming from you, The Poodle Apologist. Hypocrisy? Nah, ND isn't historically a dirty program that regularly finds itself on probation. Speaking of your dirty program, shouldn't you be spending your Sunday afternoon admiring and exalting some ethically bankrupt sleaze bag?

Hmmm, how many players on this years roster have been suspended from school for academic fraud again...? And that's AFTER Golson transferred after coming back from academic fraud. Notre Dame isnt "historically dirty", and yet has a book written about them by a former player about how dirty they were...interesting.

Yep, suspended for academic fraud---and rightfully so. At southern cal, academic fraud probably gets you selected team captain. "Under the Tarnished Dome"? Seriously? A widely discredited book written by a disgruntled former player? You're obviously desperate. Nice try though.

When did a USC student athlete murder someone? I tell you what, Floyd may not have murdered anyone, but it wasn't for lack of effort with all those DUI's...

Yeah, DUIs are the equivalent of double homicide. Is that the sort of critical thinking they teach at southern cal? You're desperate and it shows.

Oh I see, when a USC player has an issue, USC is a cesspool and dirty program, yet when a Notre Dame player has an issue, it's "widely discredited" and no big deal. Keep bringing back those cheaters...LOL.

LOL, when did a USC player ever commit double homicide? And was he welcomed back to the team after? I know Micheal Floyd was brought back after his DUI's. I know Tommy Rees was brought back after his drunken fight with a cop. I know Prince Shembo was welcomed back after being accused of a pretty heinous crime, and has gone on to commit further heinous crimes. I know a whole lot of players have been welcomed back after cheating in school.

Im just saying, you live in a pretty big glass house...

Yep, a cesspool and dirty program. How many years has your program spent on probation? Oh, but I guess that was all part of the conspiracy of the NCAA and the media to make southern cal look bad.

So your standard for a cesspool is whether or not the NCAA, and all their wisdom, determines a finding against a school? That makes sense coming from you. Never mind DUI's, sexual assault, assaulting police officers, or rampant academic cheating, the real cesspool is when a wannabe agent gives a player's parents money a few months before he goes pro.

Am I talking to Urban Meyer here?

Like I said, idiotic things. Thanks for proving my point. I rest my case

LOL, you are something else. The only thing you have proven is an obliviousness to common sense. Urban Meyer ran a cesspool at Florida and was never once sanctioned by the NCAA. But I guess that's cool with you. Florida State isnt being sanctioned by the NCAA for their cesspool of players, but that's cool, there arent any NCAA findings.

I see the clarity of your views on the matter...

Its not entirely shocking. There was talk about Sark being drunk in public when he was at Washington. He just gets more news at USC.

I'm kinda surprised by Haden's response. A few years ago, Haden suspended Kevin O'Oneill for being a drunken ass in front of a donor at his hotel, and O'Neill wasn't even on the clock when it happened.

I'm curious why Sark isn't getting the same treatment.

It's hard to replace your head football coach two weeks prior to your opening game.

O'Neil actually got into a confrontation with a fan during his drunken incident, I believe it actually got physical. Sark just made an ass out of himself, and the whole incident was rather brief in nature. Not really the same kind of incidents at all. It sounds like Haden really got in his ass and I would think Sark is on a very short leash moving forward with Haden.

That leash might get some slack when he reaches 10 wins, but anything less and he might be in serious trouble.
