Ryan Grant

Putting up $500K of your own money to support someone in your social circle is a beautiful act of self sacrifice and kindness.

i love how we operate in a accused = guilty state by default.
our judicial system is a mess, police make mistakes all the time, not to mention all of the corruption and discrimination in our system too.

this guy is innocent until proven guilty and has the right to bail out just like anybody else. we should applaud one of our own supporting a friend in a time of need.

also ryan grant was here for 4 years and likely graduated with an ND degree and then had a really nice NFL tenure. the guy is not stupid. i doubt he would be putting up that kind of cash unless he believed in his friend's innocence as well

Sureee.... the guy is already an ex con and is out on a 5million bond

The guy is a convicted drug dealer who has been arrested 7 times

Huge scumbag

we talk about ND being a 4 for 40 decision and the ND family network being there to always have your back once you come here, but as soon as one of our guys gets accused of something, or has bad press written about him, we write them off like they are scum.

we should be giving one of our own the benefit of the doubt .. not joining the chorus of boos and criticizing the guys integrity and character (especially when we have little to no detail)

I dont support putting up the bond for a convicted drug dealer, a 7x arrestee, and a possible cop shooter.

I dont care if they are a ND alum or not

Spoken like in an ingrate who doesn't believe in personal accountability.
Ask not what to can do for the country...

LOL Where have you been? They let anyone out these days. Criminals get left out constantly. Sometimes with no bail at all.
that's why we have more people in prison per capita than anywhere else in the world and nobody comes close. We incarcerated 2+ million people in the USA in 2020 alone. Of course mostly black and other minority individuals like the guy Ryan Grant helped bail out.

i'm proud of this kid--you support your own, even in the face of adversity and bad press, especially when the deck is stacked against you/those you care about

Horseshit !
He’s a serial felon and a drug dealer who illegally possessed a gun and tried to kill a cop !

You’d have to be a deaf, dumb and blind moron to think he’s innocent !

Did you feel the same way about the school shooter/s, were they also innocent ?

We do have detail !

Why don’t you look at his prior arrest record.

Why should we give Grant special treatment in a felony case involving an attempted murder of a cop ?

I hope he skips bail and subsequently gets rearrested !

As a former a NYPD cop before switching to fdny , I reached out to some former workers. Chaseball & Ryan Grant, 2 humans that I want nothing to do with. I would rather hang with the entire USC & Miami ( 88) team then you two life forms.

You’re a hot mess aren’t you!

Been arrested 7 times, there is a better then 50% chance the dude is guilty as hell.

Seriously did anyone read the article?

To the people blaming Ryan Grant, do you think the arrestee is a threat to shoot another police, from his bedroom, during a drug raid?

if it was someone you loved being accused of attempted murder and had their name being dragged through the public mud via Google search, i guarantee you you would look at the situation differently, and you would probably want someone like me taking some heat to remind people that there are two sides to the story and we only have one of those sides right now and that the system isn't infallible

The article states the shooter was in a bedroom when the police entered on a drug raid. Without further details I have to wonder if it was one of those frequent raids where the cops storm the house assault style and the residents have no idea who is invading if they didn't hear someone say "police" downstairs. Often we learn that the suspects when to and from the house every day and could have been arrested anywhere in town.

No details to share on this case. So I won’t offer what RG was thinking. But if you are going to generalize about the police mistakes, you need to also include the thousands of criminals released early or avoid jail time, to commit crimes again. Or the flow of drugs from the Mexican border due to lack of police enforcement. Or the fact we traded a veteran with huge value as an intelligence officer for a WNBA player that just hated the USA last year.
In today’s society, all kinds of criminal activity being ignored due to the woke agenda at work in law enforcement and govt.

So enough of your agenda that includes lack of accountability from the streets to the locker rooms

Playing the race card too? Did you watch any of those riots in the summer of 2020? How about the 10,000 black on black murders every year? That the “man’s” fault as well?

Thx for posting Johnnie Cochran
