While that is true -- we also have a QB that, when the pocket fails, can get out and make something happen -- and, a QB who not good at escaping the rush and will likely take a sack -- so, which one do you want?

We’ve seen marked improvement with this in the last couple of games. He ran a total of six times against Stanford. He seems to be executing the rpo in a way we all expected when he was recruited. He still needs to improve his field vision and progression, but we’re seeing marked improvement. We need to see this against a good defense that pressures the pocket more than Stanford to gauge if this improvement and him being on the same page as Denbrock is real or fools gold.
