Restaurants after the game.

Any suggestions for Restaurants for after the Duke Game would be appreciated. Our Hotel is in Chesterton on the way back to Chicago 30 minutes west of South Bend and just off of RT 31. It doesn't have to be too fancy.

Hmmm ... didn't know Chesterton was near RT 31. From google maps, it appears Chesterton is triangled between interstates 94 and 80 and indiana state road 49.

Never really stopped in that area, so can't help with restaurants.

Chesterton is not near 31. It's on Rt 49. Try Octave Grill, Northside Diner, Ivy's, Smokey's Southern Bque, Lucrezia's. Then there is the old standby Bob Evans. Valparaiso, which borders Chesterton has some great food joints on the square. Good luck.

I have no idea of the area, but I googled it and I think he was using 31 (which seems to run N/S) as a point to say he was going to be west of 31 but east of Chesterton. So I think spots in that area are requested?

but is he traveling on 80or2or20 ?

This is my area and I would hope he would be taking the tollway back to Chesterton from South Bend. Rt 20 is a slow way to go. I gave him a nice selection of food joints near or around his hotel.
