The hammer price of $232,692 a bottle set a record for the most expensive bottle of wine ever sold at auction.
What I can't fathom is why Kelly gets in so late in the recruiting game with guys like McCOullough, Davis and Kelley. Seems like he should've been prepared during their junior seasons to offer and get visits to ND. mOST OF THESE GUYS KNEW LITTLE ABOUT ND until their senior visit late in the recruiting year. Most teams already had their foot in the door. ND often becomes 2nd or 3rd option when this happens. Lack of preparedness causes this.

What date did our staff contact these guys - and how would you know ?
Please tell us what these guys do not know about ND - be specific ?
ND has 22 commitments thus far and the class is highly regarded and rated --
Please be specific in how ND's staff does not prepare themselves for the respective recruiting cycles.
Are you assuming all these guys who are uncommitted right now are so because teams waited too long to start recruiting them? I think that would be an erroneous assumption. Sometimes a kid doesn't show up on a school's public radar screen until he starts to whittle down his list to a few schools and the applicable school makes the list. But that doesn't mean his recruitment started at that point, he may very well have been recruited for a long period of time before then.
He didn't get in late with these dudes in the sense that they were looking after them, he got in late in that those guys didn't show interest until late in the game after ND was playing well. Nothing you can do about that except keep working to get the guys on campus.
