$6 million for Ewers seems like a good deal. If the difference between making the playoffs and not making the playoffs in 2025 is Ewers, I would say $6 million is worth it. ND has boosters that can cough that up instantly.

What do you bring to the board besides idiotic internet rumors that have no basis of fact?
I do see your point but myself personally want to hear all the rumors , latest talks , who heard what etc. This is why I pay my yearly script for inside info.
I don’t know how long you have been a member here ( and I respect you tremendously btw not being snarky) but I can definitely vouch for the fact that 90% of the rumors ended up being true. The old saying here was if there’s smoke there’s fire.
Examples I can provide off hand :
Frozen Five
Everette Golson caught cheating suspended
Players leaving team
Players declaring for draft
Kelly resigned
Kelly’s replacement ( that was fun )
Portal rumors.
I can go on and on.
Again I get some here don’t want to hear about anything til it’s been confirmed but that’ not me. Personal preference I guess.
It’s one of the main reasons I joined this site in 2009 to hear everything I can about the team.

KINDA right there with ya'...this $6 million offer places the sport into the following realm: Notre Dame will not be playing Texas A&M next year, it will be the South Bend Fighting Irish against the College Station Aggies, and since South Bend doesn't have a stadium big enough, they will have to play pro ball at Notre Dame stadium...kinda like how the New York Giants played at the Yale Bowl, or the Tennessee Titans played at Vanderbilt, or New Orleans played at Tulane Stadium...
If USC fan Colin Cowherd is the sole source of this "leak", he might just be messing with ND fans. But it makes sense for Ewers to hit the portal. And collecting $6 million for one year wouldn't be a surprise. I think the Canes would pay that.

Show me any proof that they did. I just listened to 1 ND podcast and they said they absolutely did not go after any qb and specifically mentioned Milroe and Ewers.

I wouldn't a top 15 pick on any qb this year. I agree with poor qb class.

There’s just something missing with Ewers. Couldn’t make the play against Washington and couldn’t do it against Georgia. Always throws an untimely interception as well.
