We all know LSU isn't going to give BK 10 years to bring a championship. He may get 5, but that's it.
50 million for not working is a nice gig if you can find it.
Meh this was all predictable to ND fans. Having said that BK is a survivor he will do enough to save his job & if history is a guide have a great season next year with no expectations. Then it will be rinse & repeat. If BK truly wants to break the cycle he will have to fully commit to recruiting & turn over the offense to an outsider. LSU has enough talent that that a DC could turn their unit around in a season.
Like clockwork...actually it's called stealing...and you're obsession with it and BK is really disturbing!
If he loses 3 or 4 games this year and does it again next year and also year 4 he's gone. In that conference w/ him coaching the likelihood of the above happening is v.good. I don't see him lasting 5 years. If he has a 2016 which, could happen at anytime with him including this year they will fire him immediately!

My guess is he’ll do just enough to make this season look like they are improving, go into next season with higher hopes as a result of that improvement, but play the same record again. I think he’s lost his will to truly be great. He’s content with making a ton of money while being status quo.
Every BK post is met with his salary. We get it, he landed in positions he never should have been, much like Biden.
He must have the same agent Weis had. Jack was smart enough to not burn that much money on BK. LSU admin are sucka's. 😂

He had asked to negotiate his contract in summer of 2021. Jack said ND will do after 2023 season as per the expiry. Then BK said he wanted to be able to retire at ND. Jack responded with same answer.
Then we all know what BK did in end Nov of that year
What's he laughing at-----he's got a guy who has lost 3 in his first 15 he should have never lost.
Now hopefully he learns from them but IMO you're supposed to be learning at Miami of Ohio not Notre Dame.
I'm pretty sure Georgia fans are happy their AD didnt have that silly thinking. And Clemson fans too. And many many many other fanbases

You mean like losing to Navy, Tulsa and USF in his first 14 games and he was in year 9 of his coaching career? There's a reason why BK almost went into politics cause he's a crook just like all of them!

There's a track record here---it's called Weis , Davie and Faust.
The last 3 times we hired a first time HC it didn't work out.

No one hopes it works out more than I do but the ND job is different----national fan base-----national media coverage------no conference so all games are critical .

Jack didn't hire any of Faust, Davie, Weis. So no he's not doing it until he gets it right. And the Faust hire really shouldn't even count, he was HS coach ND had zero business hiring.
Jack didn't hire them. They were all over 20 years ago.

the measuring stick isn't simply "first time head coach"....Look at the individuals named as well. Weis? Never played the game....or coached in college anywhere. Davie? Got kicked upstairs....that was a mistake. I remember his first game as HC....he was interviewed and declared that ND was "finally going to open up the offense". That never happened. Faust? Nothing to add....the name is sufficient. Freeman? Played big boy college football. Coached multiple positions prior to head coach. Still learning? yes...but at least he is learning. That is something the other three didn't seem to do....and Kelly? How could he learn anything when he already knows everything?
Need to give Freeman 5 years. so far this year he's navigated through the schedule well. 5-1. I don't believe his predecessor could have managed a better record.
