Ohio State stuck to their gameplan regardless of the wind, which was a mistake. When it's as windy as it was today, you alter your gameplan to run like 80-90% of the time. But Day is stubborn and continues to have CJ air the ball out and that brings up incompletions, which means you aren't running the ball and controlling the clock, which is why NW has double the TOP as you do and that makes the game played within a touchdown all game.
Nobody can throw in that wind today and expect to have any success, but the lack of run game and stopping NW running the ball is inexcusable. Just a frustrating win but it's a win nonetheless and I'm happy about it. Sometimes you have to win games in adverse conditions playing your D- game
