A new wednesday. A renewed struggle to find something to be optimistic about...

Duke can score points. Kizer is very good. Vegas usually gives a 3 point advantage at home, so I'll stick with that.

Duke -- 38
ND -- 41

Who do you have and why?

ND 56
dook 53

Yoon kicks game winning FG as time expires. BK says defense is really coming into shape and see no reason to panic.

Not sure what to think ... want ND to win big, but ... looks like MTIrish98 and Fifthhorseman25 are saying it best.

Irish win big!

Going to SB Friday. It will be my first game without my wife who passed away this summer. She has the Irish big, too!

a warning ! Kelly has altered practice to emphasize 'tackling'; aha, I knew they were leaving something out! factor that into your prediction!

(btw: the exact same rhetoric came from Weis during his free fall)

Are you a suspect?

Yep, you can count on cgvr to always be an asshole.

Forty years of marriage, extraordinarily successful kids and battled MS for 15 years before her death and you make fun of the situation.

As always, cgvr, the resident POS!

hey Big fella, sorry for your loss. You know in your heart that nearly everyone who posts here would share this sentiment, and suggest you literally ignore the insensitive and stupid comment by CGVR, and use the ignore feature. Been married forty years myself to a woman battling an debilitating autoimmune condition, but love her strength of character and can't begin to imagine a life without her. Hope like hell that you are able to enjoy the game while embracing all the great memories of the games you shared with your wife.

Thanks! We had a very good run. It's been two months now and I am still a bit lost, but doing fine. This last few years I spent a lot of time helping out, but I think I'll make three games this season.

Best of luck with your wife. I'm sure it's tough on you both, but the loss, if God forbid that happens, is worse.

So, that's a "yes".....
If true.....Let's get this straight. Your wife is dying and you are on this board day and night with multiple handles...... Good thing you took all that time to not care for her... Thank God we distracted you from her and eased her pain...

Catholics vs Camerons? Catholics vs. Cutcliffes? This will be Kelly's most lopsided win at ND

It would be nice to see for once since the Lou Holtz years for this defense to play with a pissed off attitude for once. However I don't see that happening.

ND 38
Duke 32

Notre Dame 52 to 0 over Duke. BVG is delegated to errand boy for Coach Kelly who realizes he is good at coaching defense. Denbrock and Sanford do a terrific job with the offense.

Or Notre Dame 28 to 17 over the pesky Blue Devils. Kizer rallies the troops.

My wife was fighting MS for 15 years, but her death was quick and totally unexpected you filthy piece of garbage. She had more decency and integrity in one of her paralyzed toes than you had in your whole body and lifetime.

You are a total disgrace to anything representing Notre Dame!

Condolences to you.

35-14 Irish. First step on this nine game journey. Treat it like it's the first day of school. Have fun. Keep your expectations modest. Look for improvement. Enjoy DK while we have him.

some things transcend football, and matter little of football opinions, BigFellaFan prayers for you and your family

"...And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose...."

I have read and heard that verse so often in times of trouble, it often just made me sort of angry, but meditating on it, we realize it is the truth and our hope.

God Bless.
