Texas cheerleaders can outrun this D.Our defense looks slow to me. Being outrun by receivers, backs.
You are not a real ND fan. ND is going to win this game.Reality is: UT has improved, our D-line sucks, DB's suck, over all defense sucks.
DK has to stay in there no more QB subs. Running game is decent but not outstanding. O-line is hit and miss so far.

It isn't possible unless ND wants to operate like Alabama or Ohio St.What is it going to take for ND to be great again? Is it just not possible? Or is it just not possible under BK?
Don't you mean just about anything & everything?!Ok vangorder figure it out bud. Every year he's been the d coordinator we've been awful at stopping the run

Alright. It's not the end of the world. This is still a very winnable games. Here's what I'm hoping to see:
1. Stick with Kizer. The game is too close to be flip-flopping QBs.
2. Stay committed to the run game.
3. Get T. Hunter Jr and Sanders the ball
4. Defense just needs to react faster and smarter and play physical, especially the front 7. Stop the run and force the throw.
5. Stop playing so far off the WRs. Tranquil and Coleman could have gotten easy stops on third downs.
Houston has the guyI think we could probably have a top 10 team year in and year out if we had a coach at the level of Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, etc. But could we get a coach like that? I don't know if that is possible with the present ND sports and general administration.
But, hey, have you seen our football stadium with all the buildings hanging off it?
Folston has lost @ least 1 step since his ACL injury...maybe more. Adams would have taken that first break away to the house.ADams has more upside than Folston.

Thank you for your insightful contributions to this thread. You are drinking the KOOLAIDND is headed to the Potato Bowl in Idaho.
He looks like a Division 2coach.Regarding tempo, I watch Oregon every week and as a result of their tempo ND looks glacial to me. But they are glacial!
Interestingly, BK was supposed to be a spread guy but somehow didn't include the fast pace part of that.
I'm SICK & TIRED of hearing that BVG's defense takes 2-3 years to learn! This is college! You need a scheme simple enough to be learned in ONE YEAR or less! How else can you convince a stud freshman defensive player to come to ND & thrive? This has nothing to do with "not being a real ND fan" or "being slow" or being "less talented" on defense. The bottom like is that BVG's defensive scheme just isn't good and they weren't prepared at all for an up-tempo offense. Even with 3 minutes left in the second quarter, Texas was RUNNING up to the line to get the next play off and ND was standing still and looking for the defensive call from the sideline. On that last big bomb (50+ yard pass), the Texas receiver literally ran right by Crawford because he wasn't even looking at the line, didn't see that the ball had been snapped, and he wasn't ready for the play. The very next play after that, Texas hurried to the line for a QB sneak (a play that everyone saw coming, since the QB lined up literally over the top of his centers shoulders) and ND once again wasn't set and wasn't ready for Texas to snap the ball. It's borderline pathetic that after 20+ minutes of football, BVG still can't get his defense to hurry up to the line, set themselves, and be aware enough to know when the ball has been snapped.
Also, we have no sacks....which has been an issue for forever now. We haven't been able to get consistent pressure on opposing QB's since the days of Nix, Tuitt, and Lynch. If we can't get pressure on the QB this year, much less get lined up in time for a snap, we are in big trouble. It starts at the top with BVG and trickles down. If BVG and his D can't turn the corner this year, then BVG needs to go and we need to pay some big money for an established defensive coordinator. Until we get a defense to match the offense, we're not going to see the playoffs.

Yep or the Mac.He was at a comfortable level in the old Big East.
There's not much more that needs to be said. It's the same $hit different season. No 10 page essay required.Thank you for your insightful contributions to this thread.
Woman's sportsND should focus on being a basketball school.
