8-4; difficult schedule this year with Georgia and USC at home, and four moderately tough road games. Would like to believe the new defensive coordinator and S&C staff will elevate the team to 10-2, but I'll have to see some evidence first. The Georgia game will tell us a lot, because it's a toss-up to lean-Georgia talent-wise, and I'd like to believe home field and improved development and coaching will give ND the edge.

I can promise that if VanGorder and Longo were still around, 8-4 would be the best we could ask for...

Theskibro sees 8-4. A new coach could be 11-0 with this team. Kelly is worth 4-5 losses a year. Unless the talent is top notch in which case he can lose 1-2 games before his Dunkin' donut coffee fats cold

I hate to say it but I see 6-6 or 7-5 this year. They should have talent to do better than this but with new OC, New DC, New QB, and coming off a bad year where teams will smell blood, I just don't see much better.
