Notre Dame has won 13 NC's but claims only 11 NC's

Until yesterday Knute Rockne was given credit for 4 national championships but ESPN wants to change the game as usual. Since 1924 ND has been given credit for winning 11 national championships. 7 according to ESPN's new measuring stick. In reality ND has won 27 national championships if you look back through it's 127 year history. I still consider Rockne the greatest coach in the history of college football. His teams never used that funny juice nor dodged teams like some schools and coaches.

espn clearly stated that it was referencing the poll era. 1936 to present.

Can only speculate how many ND would have, even after 1936, if Frank Leahy hadn't been pushed out, and if Lou Holtz hadn't been pushed out.
