Elko only coached under Kelly for one season. He coached under Dave Clawson for 12. So he belongs in the Clawson tree.

Maybe so, but that was so-called 'targeting' just the same. Indubitably. Full speed, totally uninhibited all out shot to the head and neck area of Sage Ryan. The dude's head completely, visibly snapped back from both the force and location of the blow, as well as the 'defenseless' nature of it. If you were teaching young referees about the call, and showing them various perfect examples of it in various situations, that would have been on the little instructional video.

Yeah, if A&M were as good as they were in the 2nd half, they probably would have beat us. Because Connor Weigman sucks. And luckily they never pulled him when they played ND. It's impressive how shitty he is. LSU was cruising as long as he was in the game. A&M was also greatly helped by three terrible, almost inexcusable interceptions from Nuss that didn't need to happen. Just as lethal or even more so to LSU's fortunes last night.

Kelly didn't have his team prepared for him. He had played this year and they seemed like they never saw him on film.

I checked the score a few hours later and I'm shocked to see that LSU got completely ran over in the second half.
I think LSU is a really good program with some really good players incoming in 2025. I think they're going to be a legit force going forward under Brian Kelly
