Yeah thats something to be proud of (Playing well in minor bowls under bk).It should be a good game. ISU, having played both Oklahoma and Baylor very tough (and beat Texas as well), is not a typical 7-5 team. But we've played well in minor bowls under Kelly, so I'm optimistic we'll play well.
GA has nowhere near the offensive fire power as these two. Defensively, yes GA is much better.Easily. Georgia is better than both
He probably has a degree in "Arts and Letters"I have zero quarrel with anyone in this debate, but I take issue with you constantly throwing that you're an ND alum in posters faces as if your opinion is suppose to somehow mean more because of it. I would say it's safe to assume that Notre Dames following is made up of an overwhelming majority of people who did not attend ND and would also assume that the number of fans in our fan base that aren't alum are far more in comparison to other programs. (Meaning our subway alums far our number any other program). So really why throw it around as many times as you do unless you're trying to gloat? In no way shape or form should that ever come up in a conversation about whether someone agrees with a post or not. F/+ is awful and I'm sorry you like it. It's not closed minded to study and then make a decision based on findings is it? @Golson5 has debunked this several times with facts that neither you or chase want to admit are, in fact a nail in this coffin.
Like I said, zero quarrel with you but it irritates the heck outta me how many times you've used your alum status as some measuring point for fandom and knowledge to come across as more "open minded" or in some way more aware. If you have done research on this f plus stuff and you still think it's valid, then that should pretty much some up what your football IQ is. And for those of us that disagree, it doesn't make us "close minded" in the slightest.
Based on past history?Kelly will have the lads up for this game. If you win, you will have to earn it.

Everyone needs to take offensive Big 12 stats in context. It's the "Defense Optional" conference. Check out Purdy's 4th quarter stats to get a feeling for how he does in close games.
Id like ND under BK to be competitive and maybe win one in "big boy" games, not just beat mediocre teams in minor bowls.Would you rather we be 0-8 in bowls under BK instead of 4-4?
Ouch!Id like ND under BK to be competitive and maybe win one in "big boy" games, not just beat mediocre teams in minor bowls.
Baylor is going to do the same thing this year.“some teams just go through the motions in the bowls (UGA in’18)”
Gotta love when the supposed superior SEC teams get beat in bowls, it automatically gets swept under the rug w/ the “they didn’t care” BS. The default excuse for the chosen programs.
Georgia came in amped to prove the committee got it wrong & Texas waxed their asses. That “going through the motions“ excuse is old & tired.

He is only a sophomore, he plays young at times. As far as pure talent, Purdy is better than Book.
I said at least be competitive. It wasn't even close. BK had three weeks to prepare his team in all these games and he layed a big fat egg.In fairness, the 3 major bowls he lost in - those were really good teams. 2012 Bama, 2018 Clemson and 2015 Ohio State were 3 of the most talented teams of the last decade. All 3 were stocked with NFL talent. We were overmatched to those three, unfortunately.
On the bright side, 2 of his bowl wins were over LSU.
Purdy isn’t as talented as his stats might indicate. He’s got pinpoint accuracy when he has time to throw and can extend plays with his feet, but he has a noodle arm, is a turnover machine, and sprays throws all over the field when he is pressured. His stats are more a product of the god awful defenses in the Big XII.
AbsolutelyMatt Campbell maximizes what he has at Iowa State, which isn’t much. Good coach, prepared team that doesn’t get blown out. ND should win on “talent” alone, but there’s a reason they play the game.
Iowa State hasn’t been blown out all year, why would they start in a neutral field game?
Although they do more with less, ISU only defeated one team with a winning record. No excuses - a prepared ND team wins big.

In a game delayed twice by bad weather... you really think the offenses were going to flourish?Like that god awful defense that held iowa to 18 points?
ISU was a lucky bounce away from losing to FCS Northern Iowa when their "all world" QB fumbled the ball on 4th down and then recovered it on the 1 yard line after a scrum for a first and goal in the 3rd OT. Without that lucky bounce, they'd be 6-6. Don't get me wrong, they play to the level of their competition, so expect them to play well against ND, but if your team takes them seriously they'll only keep it close for 3 quarters. Underestimate them, and they'll take it right down to the wire, and then blame the officials for the loss. But that QB tends to get the "yips" in tight games. Had some horrible stats in the 4th quarter this season.
ISU averaged 6.3 yds/play against Iowa while Iowa averaged 3.3 yds/play. It took a late holding call(only one in the game)on ISU to offset the most obvious PI to stop the Clones from kicking the game winning fg. B10 refs bailed out the hawks. BTW, in the 500 games over the last 10 years with such a yards per play disparity, the team with the lower output was 1-499. That is a .2% chance of winning for math majors. The hawks were pushed around the field. There sure is irony that hawk fans would come and post concerning a game they are no part of.....funny to say the leastIn a game delayed twice by bad weather... you really think the offenses were going to flourish?
Iowa played well enough to win. It's a Ferentz thing.
"Kinky" made a reference to the Iowa game and I responded. Making claims of total yardage advantage or TOP or any other metric is an excuse when you lose the game.ISU averaged 6.3 yds/play against Iowa while Iowa averaged 3.3 yds/play. B.S. it is as simple as the late fantom hold. Clones take responsibility for it even coming to that point because they pushed Iowa around the field."Kinky" made a reference to the Iowa game and I responded. ISU lost to Iowa because of shaky QB play in the 4th quarter and sloppy special teams play. Pretty simple explanation. The ISU QB would have won the Heisman if games were over by halftime.

Iowa made no mistakes in the game which kept them in it. Like I said, the game shouldn’t have been in doubt and come down to a bad call. That is on the Clones. We love efficiency ratings around here That YPP vs points must render you quite inefficient. Also it seems ISU has a habit of losing to Iowa by weird scores like 11-10
Who cares who they “almost beat”!7-5, those 5 losses were by a combined 21 points.
Margin of loss:
#16Iowa-1
@#7Baylor-2
OK State-7
@#4Boomer Sooner-1
@K-State-10
4.2 per game
they were in every game they played!
LOL! ND got blasted by Mich which both OU and Baylor would beat. ND is overrated and Vegas clearly sees it.Who cares who they “almost beat”!
Almost means nothing.
Almost means good but simply not good enough.
Almost most means you lost 5 games and have no business playing a team that is 10-2.
If Notre Dame had that weak schedule, ND would be 12-0 and in the playoffs.
Yes, I am saying ND beats the Sooners and Baylor.
Neither team has any defense.
ND will beat the Cyclones by more points than anyone has this season.
38-24
We will see!LOL! ND got blasted by Mich which both OU and Baylor would beat. ND is overrated and Vegas clearly sees it.
OU & Baylor are playing in CFP & NY6 games so I guess they beat enough teams to be there. Mich smashed a 10-2 ND team and gets Bama.We will see!
come back around after the game.
OU beat who?
Baylor beat Who?

I don't think that is possible lol.It could be a great game. I just hope our team isn't as negative as us fans.
So you're saying Purdy = Book. I call that a push on that position then.Purdy isn’t as talented as his stats might indicate.
