We had a great year this year despite the unbelievable amount of injuries.

We were so close to making the playoffs.

We just got another great recruiting class so we will have even more depth.

2016 is our easiest schedule that we have had in a while and we have three excellent Qbs with an impressive freshman coming in.

A great Oline. Great wide receivers and tight ends. A very deep dline and athletic linebackers.

The defense was decimated by injuries but did improve over 2015 and should improve again in BVG'S third year. BVG had a monster year in his third year at Georgia and I expect improvement this year.

The negative Nannies here would be singing the praises of this class if Hayes and Kareem and Perry had announced on NSD. We always get carried away with high expectations for signing day whales to come our way, and then we feel let down when they don't. Just celebrate the quality of this class and the considerable upside potential. Winning a few more quality games and being in the playoffs or winning major bowl games will nudge us to the next level with the kind of targeted players who chose elsewhere today. We're very close.

I seriously have to ask, are you a kid or maybe an older fan who just loves ND a lot? Sometimes I want to write how ridiculous you sound but in a way I feel bad like maybe you are clueless and just a super fan who doesn't get it.

Maybe a super fan who does get it, but who has a sense of humor and who likes to push the envelope and elicit reactions. At least that is my take.

No one knows how this class will pan out. But it was great to see that not one kid decommitted. One thing I like that I think Kelly and the other coaches did was bring in kids who want to go to ND. Many times that inst the case. Then we have players leaving before they even get started. Now on paper this is a very good class. Kelly needs to pull in another very good to excellent class next year in order to keep the Irish in the conversation. ND is not like other schools. They wasn't their players to graduate and get a degree. Many kids that are " elite" want to get the NFL check so idea going to classes and studying is not their goal. If ND wanted to be a football factory they could easily go that route and most likely win many championships. But that isn't how they want it. They just don't want to win for the sake of winning. They want to win while staying true to the schools mission. Many schools don't care about that nowadays. Win know matter how or what is the only goal. That will never happen at ND. So for me I am happy with this class. These are kids that will by all accounts make at ND.
