Kelly is a wizard. We snagged up another 3 -star recruit that Portland did not even offer. At least Kelly out recruited Toledo. LOL. In three years, this team will be 5-7 if it is lucky.

Interesting how you conveniently ignore the fact that he had offers from Oregon and Cal. But then again, we know that you're masquerading as an ND fan and it doesn't fit your anti-ND agenda.

Or you could get hemmoriods, or somethings slightly worse.

Better than 8 Michigan recruits, Rated as high or higher than 5 Bama guys. 3 USC guys.
Yeah, he must suck

Stick your head in the sand and put on your rose colored glasses if you wish. This class is average at best. And this player does not have an impressive offer list. Why is Kelly filling the class with 3-stars that we hope turn into marginal 4-stars? If this team is going to be as good as everyone thinks this year, stop filling up the class with average players and hold out for the more elite players before the class is full. Whatever happened to that mantra :if we win they will come"?

You think the class is full?

They'll likely be looking to add 6-8 kids during the season.

A good season usually had the biggest impact on the following class though, since there is only a few weeks between the championship game and signing day

This class isn't finished yet, so to make any sweeping generalizations about it being "average at best" is a bit rash, in my opinion. We typically don't know how truly productive a class is until their 3rd year on campus, and you're ready to write this class off before it's even complete? Can you at least wait until the class is fully committed and signed before you complain?

If you look at the chronology of his offers, the lower level ones came early, the higher level ones came later. I.e., he took a while to get noticed. He is a Holtz style recruit who might not be ready to play at 215 lbs, but may be all-world at 245 or 250, which is where he'll be by 2017.

He reminds me of J. Williams who just transfered out...a lot

Williams and Walace are 2 DE recruits that I really wish hadn't been casualties of academics. They were very high upside players who I really liked

gotta disagree ^; this kid is a much better prospect.
Williams was just a big kid who wasn't as talented a football player.
Wallace did not have the frame to carry much weight and was only 189 when recruited.
No comparing them except that all were said to be projects.

I think Williams had the size, length, and great athleticism...plus he played like his hair was on fire!!
Now he didn't have any idea what he was doing, but he had all the tools to be a very good DE. The tools that Ade has look similar to me, and Ade also looks vrey raw (though he has more technique and less strength than Williams did at the same stage, so it's a different kind of "raw")

Wallace was more of a OLB/DE Hybrid, who was going to grow into a true 4-3 WDE over time. He was ~200lbs at the end of High School and seemed like he had the frame to get into the 230-340lbs range when he was fully developed. He had that elite length/athleticism combo though.....which makes me wish we still had him as a project to work on

All 3 prospects are unique, but all 3 share certain similarities and I very much wish we had all 3 on the roster moving forward

common misconception was the actual size of Johnnie Williams; his recruiting height was 6'6 but as he was measured at ND he was just a bit over 6'3"; he just lacked the natural football instinct.
