Sorry to disappoint but I don't know him that well. I cannot defend or trash him on things I don't know and that's why I choose to not bash him. I'll back any ND coach until they give me reason not to. You don't know the entire story you know what you see and read on message boards. You hear from people who may also have an agenda and you'll believe everything you want to hook line and sinker. You see sideline behavior and think you know the entire context of that relationship. But when somebody has a differing view you chose to attack and back your opinion as though it's gospel.
People that hate him say he's a bad players coach and players dislike him. I know former players personally and they absolutely do not dislike him. If you're insecure personally then yes you may be offended but such is life.

Quints - open your eyes to what is going on - "ON THE FIELD" - do you understand the game of football ?

Most are upset about "how he coaches the team" // his game mgt. // how his special teams units underperform almost every season // how bad his defensive units have been almost every season // how bad the tackling fundamentals have been // his in game decisions - i.e. Tulsa first year - then at least 1 or 2 games each year since where he makes similiar bonehead in game decisions. i.e. clemson going for 2 early. IF he'd just of gone for 1 like he should have - we tie it up w/ a PAT at the end and are still in OT right now !

I have no doubt that most players probably do like him or put up w/him because they have too - And their are always a few disgruntled players.

Even his sideline bashing of players is ok w/ me during a game - a lot of coaches get in kids dishes during a game when they screw up.

The post game press conferences when he throws players under the bus is not good though - that needs to be kept in house w/ the player in a one on one - on things that need correcting or where they need to be addressed.

So, you really do not get it and are obviously BK's BFF - or a relative to BK or your one of Jacks BFF's. Because most normal football fan would not be so blind to his coaching mistakes he makes year in and year out - as a whole.

It's all about his coaching - the other stuff just gets magnified when the coaching and losses are not good.

in another thread there is an attempt to appear to praise BW when in fact it is an attempt to put down DK (a soon to ge top 10 draftee) and whooish right over this forums collective heads!

Put down DK, put blame on DK and shift it from BK. duh!

BW a 3rd year player who has never started is puffed up beyond real evidence to yet warrant it, for hidden motive!

Name the last truly great college QB that came in and did not start in his Fr. year? So bestowing greatness w/o evidence is more than attempt at sunshine pumping! it is ulterior motivation!

BW has talent. He needs to play 1st to give us reason to say, "hey!"

Trust me I'm no Kelky relative or even a huge fan. He's the ND coach and I certainly respect that as well as his coaching acumen. Please look at his record over his lifetime. He didn't come to ND and forget how to coach. He didn't all of a sudden start treating players differently. He is well respected for his community work and causes.
I just give people the benefit of the doubt and don't choose to attack him personally. The man can coach and can represent ND very well. Fans that just want W's, which I can relate, sometimes criss the line instead of just debating the merits.
Some of the stuff posted here about him and his ability are just insane. To say he is a lousy coach is plain ignorant.
