I felt great about the Irish against Indiana, Georgia and Penn State, but Ohio State scares me to death. But we owe them a lose. This is a better ND team which lose to those assholes the last two seasons. It’s time to take back what is ours, the best damn team in the land.

Go Irish beat the suck-eyes.

I feel pretty good. Georgia beat a Texas team twice that gave Ohio State a good game. ND also beat PSU by a margin similar to Ohio State beating them.

Transitive property doesn't strictly apply...but there are enough intersecting games to suggest ND is within striking distance of the Buckeyes...with a decent change to win.

I guess 55:45 Buckeyes favored over ND...ND can make 1 game that 45% odds.

You know , usually I’m all uptight and gloom and doom in these big games. But believe or not , this game , I’m not. Ohio state is loaded. Everyone knows it. ND has a great team as well. But nobody expects ND to win. As a lifelong ND fan , I’m fine with that. I definitely want them to win. It would be incredible. But if they don’t , guess what ? It’s still an amazing season. For the record, I think they can win. It won’t be easy. Probably need some breaks go their way. But they can win. And if they don’t , that’s ok. Either way this was a terrific season. Go Irish !!

If i was a betting man i would take OSU at -10. The fact that the line is down to -8 i'm REALLY taking OSU for easy money.

Feel better than when we faced Bama in the NC.
All of the pressure is on OSU, 20 million plus and you had better get something. So far 20 million has gotten6 no Big Title, no win over their rival, only one more to go for the trifecta.

BTW college football is very unpredictable due to small sample size so anything is possible in a single 4 quarter game. But all of the ancillary information points to OSU winning in a relatively one-sided type of game. Still, luck can play a big role in college football as well (hence the NIU loss).

If ND played OSU 10 times, OSU wins 7 or 8 times IMO. But in a single do or die game, anything is possible.

What separates this ND team from past teams....is that it has plowed through three playoff games to get to the title game. That hasn't happened before. Along the way, they eliminated three top 10 teams to get here.....There should be some confidence that is produced in that. Believing that they can win is half the battle. Notre Dame started the playoffs minus starters on defense. That isn't new. True, we are tapping into the 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier. But....on the flip side....while the injuries piled up....the competition got tougher. Georgia? PSU? As our incoming president has said......"What do you have to lose"?

I'm breaking the promise I made to no longer respond to your idiotic comments, but I'm
planning to make an exception. I'll bet you and take the 8 points. If you lose, you disappear from this forum forever.

I'm hoping they can follow the Michigan template and hang onto the ball and not let tOSU skilled players have their way. We shall see!

I’m not entirely confident, but I love this team. Nonetheless, injuries have kind of made this the impossible dream. The future of this program is clear cut though as long as we can keep this staff together

so long as your answer is pro ND of course lol

Don’t be a dick that’s not what he said and maybe at some point you can get over the fact that every person on his team is not a five star recruit, but this team shows fvcking comraderie and heart, and that means something

What an Absolute dickhead you are

Too ChasingD1ck,

Think it’s funny, idiot! You’re a joke and you have no idea how sports work

I like our QB, he’s got balls. His RBs are as good as any I’ve ever seen. TheirQB seems ok and he has wrs to hurt us. They’ve got some dudes that will make plays. . But for the first time in my life, we have dudes in the defensive backfield. And our dudes are gonna make plays.

I like our chances.

This team cannot be measured by talent alone. They believe in one another, they trust one another, they play for one another. That may not be enough at the end, but they are within the conversation of having a chance.

I have been gloom and doom since Indiana, I’m going to stick with the winning formula. I hope Marcus Freeman to Sharon Moore.

This dude has been quoting F plus rankings for the majority of the year and had Notre Dame outside of the top 10. Only recently, within the last two weeks, has he put Notre Dame as a legit title contender. Fvck him! He doesn’t deserve the glory that comes with overcoming odd.s. He’s an oddsmaker, nothing more. There’s no emotion to him. Just a d1ck head that doesn’t understand sports/emotion.

9.5 points is a big spread and with all of the injuries it’s going to take a Herculean effort to beat OSU, but anything is possible, just ask NIU !

We are at worst, the 2nd best team in college football. We've all had a blast this season. You've been proven an idiot, and the laughingstock of the board.

All the time you spent, ripping apart ND......time wasted. You can't have that time back Chase.

I think many of us would be shocked if we knew how many other schools came close to that figure and even surpassed it (Texas, Oregon, TAMU and a few others). OSU"s amount just got out.

For ND to win this game, your OL will have to find a way to somehow neutralize that OSU DL .....easier said than done. I think we'll look back in a few years and compare this OSU DL with that incredible Clemson DL around 7 or 8 years ago. Everybody talks about the OSU offense (QB, RBs and WRs) but their defense is the strength of the team and they're constantly rotating players in and out. They go 6 or 7 deep on the DL

Ohio State DL is not a good as that Clemson DL. They are more in line with the Georgia and Psu DLs of this year

You obviously haven't watched them that much. Pay attention to the upcoming NFL draft. I'm just going by what they say.

And there's a reason Sark-Texas went wide on their 2nd play - after getting totally stuffed on the first play on the one yard line - late in the 4th quarter. They weren't going to get in trying to run inside on OSU and he all but said that after the game

I've watched them a ton. They aren't 2018 Clemson DL

That team had 3 first rd DL drafted in the top 17 picks.

Ohio state might not have 1 DL drafted in the top 17 come next draft

@chaseball

Since you like to bait with statistics, I'll reciprocate.

College Football Power Index 2024

This ESPN power index actually has tOSU as the #1 offense and ND as the #2 defense. Overall tOSU is #1 ranked and ND is #2 ranked. Seems pretty accurate!

;)

I didn't do a deep dive. But I recall reading that efficiency metrics are normalized with SOS. So these in theory are legit.

If you want to bet money, let's increase that dollar amount, plus you and any aliases old, and new leave the group forever and you don't create any new accounts either.
