722 yards by the Irish offense !! Wimbush is now a dangerous passer !! Adams and Wimbush rested up for the Canes !! Book looked like Joe Montana out there today ! Valuable experience for our back up !! 8 and 1 baby !! I am goingto go ahead and give my prediction for next week !! Notre Dame 55 Miami 21 !!! Josh Adams will run for 300+ yards !! Notre Dame has three of the best wins of the year ! 38 to 18 over the Big10's best team Michigan State !! 35 to 14 over a tough North Carolina State !! And 49 to 14 over the Trojans !! Go Irish !! Punish the convicts !!!

Well, it was a win, but I wouldn't call it a quality win. Yes, Wimbush looked great, and I loved watching Claypool get so involved in the passing game. He earned a big day receiving by doing the little things all season.

But the defense looked like a steaming pile of freshly dropped mierda. Elko's probably telling them as much right now.

Okay, at this point, I should tell Bodi not to mind my initial reply too much. I was having quite a frustrating day, and all I could see was Wake Forest dropping 37 points on a defense that hadn't given up more than 20 all season. And my mental dialogue (I talk to myself A LOT, but that's mostly because I'm so damned interesting :D) was "if the defense plays like this against Miami, they're going to get their asses handed to 'em." That's still a concern and I was worried about Wimbush and Adams.

But I can accept the possibility that Elko took his foot off the gas in the 4th quarter, and I'm no longer worried about BW. So, Bodi, I hope you'll take this grouchy old fart's ranting with a grain of salt.

I'm still a bit concerned after seeing Miami take Virginia Tech to the woodshed tonight. The defense can't take its collective foot off the gas next week. And I won't stop worrying about Adams until I see him break another 70+ TD run.
