Game thread … ND vs Clemson

There have been enough plays there, where we could be right in this. But I don't see a happy ending tonight. The weather will get worse and it will simply get tougher and tougher to string something together and for our defense to keep Clemson pinned down.
Well the good part is it didn't get much worse. If we can get out of our way (as somebody posted earlier) and Kiser can see the WR's running wide open we can still win this thing.
If so … Clemson called a TO to get them alerted for the possibility.
Again … when will Kelly learn that fakes and other trickery works best when its spur of the moment, not after time outs.
seriously? kizer has an arm but is very inaccurate, but when he does throw a good ball we drop it. we can't run so if that continues it won't matter much. our safeties are terrible, I say this all the time but people ignore it. if the offense can't do something this defense won't hold up and it could be 35-3 for a final.
kelly better have some ideas at half to get the run going... maybe when they have 8 men in the box they may want to throw as well?
Well, our WRs need to help out a little when given the chance. Also, whenever there is an opportunity for a turnover (tipped pass, loose ball, muffed punt) there never seems to be anyone around the ball. Season long observation which has morphed into tonight's game. They are not out of the game.

youre the same tool that said kizer was going to be our next montana... what happened? we maybe able to come back in the second half but most of the stuff you write on this board makes our fans look so stupid, it is really embarrassing.
We really need to score on this first possession of the 2nd half. Radar looks like the apocalypse is coming. Lots of opportunities are there in the passing game, just need to hit them.
I hope the assistants have the guts to tell the King ... oops, I mean Coach Kelly that he has no clothes on... and to work out an effective passing scheme. The plan he came up with on Tuesday is not working, and he is too stubborn to admit it. He thinks that since he is such a great offensive mind that it MUST work eventually.
I wouldn't mind seeing Adams at RB for a change of pace to spell Prosise at times. I bet CJ is very frustrated.

The one time Kizer goes under center they get a 5 yard gain....then go back in the shotgun and lose yardage. The zone read is NOT WORKING!!!!

I think the weather is affecting our play and judgement. The Clemson boys are relishing the elements in front of the home crowd. They look slow, confused, and beaten.
Clemson is selling out to stop the run and playing press coverage. Kizer must make them pay.
Other than Jaylon and a couple of other players, because of the weather, it almost seems like they want to be anywhere lese but there.
The defense for the most part has played decent. Honestly, the rain is the only thing keeping Clemson from being up by 30 right now.
I'm just going to say it. This coaching staff, Kelly included, is inept in big games. Its been this way a very long time at Notre Dame... something has to change.

Worst clock/personnel manager I've ever seen. Should have kicked the XP instead of blowing the TO.
One of our resident know-it-alls was crowing about how much the special teams had improved this year. Well, we fumble the opening kick of the second half and then screw up the two-point conversion. Not only do does Robininson drop an easy catch but we use a timeout.
