UConn is a 16(!) point favorite. Seems a bit excessive.

I hope we give them a great game and pull off an upset that I think we can do but I also wouldn't be surprised if we lost by 16 pts if loyd doesn't have a good game

Depends who shows up for ND to help out Loyd.

Will Mabrey shoot the lights out like she's capable, or will she wilt under pressure?
Will Reimer show up on both ends of the floor?
Will Turner make an impact in a big game?
Will Allen bust out again as the opponent keys on Loyd?

Also depends on whether we can keep Stewart from scoring 30,
and keeping a hand in the face of Mosqueda-Lewis.

UConn doesn't rely on Stewart to score that much. Their former defensive specialist forward Morgan Tuck has been lighting it up underneath.

If I had to bet it would be on ND to keep it respectable. But the Irish women beating UConn would be a bigger upset than if the men had beat Kentucky.

well in the first matchup with them in dec we had a 9 or 10 pt lead early on but then just about everybody outside of loyd started missing a lot of shots which allowed UConn to take over the game and win

And Turner was out that game with an injury as well.

She needs to have an impact in this game for the Irish to have a shot.
