For the record, my pick for the next head coach is Mike Sanford JR.

Yes, never been a head coach. So what! He is awesome with his players. He ran a great offense at Boise St. Runs a great offense at ND when Kelly doesn't interfere. The guy is cut from the same cloth as Chris Peterson. Peterson was also a first time head coach when he took over Boise St. The Houston coach is also a hot and up coming coach. I in no way believe Kelly will be fired this year. I do however believe that if he loses more than two game the seat gets warm. If he loses more than three? Well there is a heat wave in South Bend. I hope Kelly proves me wrong. I just believe we have seen the absolute peek of how far Kelly can take this program. Which is, some good regular season records of 10 plus wins. However, once Kelly is in the playoffs I just don't see him leading us to a win. I will be rotating for Kelly every game. After all he is at the helm of My beloved Fighting Irish. Please coach prove me wrong. Please make me eat my words. That is some crow that I would love to eat. I would eat with pleasure.

i sometimes wonder what would have happened if urban meyer would have been promoted from receivers coach to head coach instead of bob davie when holtz left--not sure urban meyer would have had the same successful career

Well, truth is, the game is over and best course of biz is to say 'let's back off' now, let the staff rally the troops; if you or someone else could create the thread it would be great..obviously better recieved than if I created it. So if you feel you can do that in good conscience, I will be 1st to 'like it'.
