I actually feel bad for BK - worse for him then I do Jack. Jack gave BK a ridiculous 6 year $22.5 million extension. Jack comes across as even more arrogant than BK. Smug.

I feel bad for the BK family. This is not going to end good for BK. But, being a college football coach - it is not easy and this is why you get paid millions to coach a game.

BK will part ways w/ ND a very rich man - set up for life - so I only feel a little sorry for him and he was a better coach than Boob, Ty, and CW.

Bk had a great, great 2012 and then he screwed it up at the end of that season - w/ how bad his team played and how they were not ready vs. Bama. And then he compounded that bad NT game w/ his Eagles interview. And he got caught in some lies, etc.

His season in 2015 - very good season - up until the bowl blowout again (in a meaningful bowl game) would have been a great season if we had just given Ohio State a decent game. Again, not very prepared to play in that game. So he ends that season on a sour note.

His recruiting contrary to some has been pretty dam good - and it is validated by how many have gone to the NFL just in the last 2 or 3 seasons.

I wish it would have worked out for him - I really do. He just makes a couple of mistakes coaching wise that hard to figure out - seems like every season. For a guy who has coached as long as he has - and he had pretty good past success - to make some of the mistakes he does as a coach - is unexplainable - IMO.

But, he has been here for 7 years - he has had ample time as the ND coach - it is time to pass the torch to a new coach and hopefully the new coach can be better than BK.

I believe it would've been a great season with 11 wins and a win over Stanford. That night proved Kelly just can't do it in a big game.

Jack then gives him that disgusting extension because he's not a sports guy, he's a lawyer with no vision of what's wrong with the program.

I was actually more frustrated by last season than this one. 2016 was the cherry on top of what we already knew about Kellllly. But to not be able to win one game against a top-10 team with Fuller, Smith, Stanley, Kizer, etc. is mind boggling.

I believe Kelly is a good coach, but not a great one. He's capable of occasional good seasons, but not the sustained excellence many believe is still possible at ND.

He's a good offensive recruiter, but outside of a few bright stars, he's never been able to get the defense to the same level.

You almost had me at hello. Then I realized you are playin us. LOL

I know there is some truth to your post but to say Kelly made some mistakes or bad decisions is like saying the Titanic hit a few snowflakes
