Meadows

Ha, it’s 100% factual

For anyone with a brain, you could see how Kelly had our defense change part way through 2021, then golden made significant changes in the off season leading into 2022

Freeman even admitted how shocked he was at how bad the D scheme was vs Florida state
🤣🤣

I love the laughs. Keep up the comedy hour

I think we've all known that for about 2 months or so.....

He's still played great this year, and he's got us in the hunt for a deep playoff run.
I agree with you. My concern, and I've pointed it out most of the year, is how is the offense going to perform when they go up against a legitimate top tier defense that's going to force 2nd and 3rd and long.

Block well, execute the run game, stay out of 2nd and 9. Stay out of 3rd and 7+.

I'd run on 1st and 2nd downs. Lean on the D and use our run game to wear people down.

You don't necessarily have to break people during the 1st or 2nd or 3rd drives of the game. Pick a game plan, execute, stick to it.

Block and run well.

He’s getting CB’d to Michigan… well done staff!

Bk had some bad wr classes but his staff always got good production out of them. Can’t recruit or coach wrs now
It really doesn't matter since the Irish need a QB that can get it to the wide receivers!

Interesting that every week there is a good number of receivers that Leonard has throw the ball to. That should encourage people to play.

With less than two weeks to early signing, looks like we will only have three receivers in the class of 25, and none are obvious difference makers. Bettis has been better than expected, but still a better DB than receiver. Burris is having a really good senior year and will be a solid contributor down the road. Richardson is the wild card…elite athlete who has played a lot of skill positions, just not receiver. Meadows is apparently locked into flipping to Michigan and the Tulane commit Purnham that looked like a flip candidate, is off our radar for non football reasons. Golson is correct in saying we’ll be active in the portal this year. Looks like interior defensive linemen and receivers will be a priority. Bad look for Coach Brown.

I think you are underselling Burress

I'll give Brown til next year to make a determination. The wrs haven't played well or produced at ND in a long time. That's a lot to make up for in his first year when you don't even have the complete full cycle.

We'll know more about him after the 26 class. I like young Faison a lot by the way

I like the younger Faison a ton. Wish he was in the 25 class instead of 26. Me saying Burress is having a really good senior season and will be a solid contributor is underselling? I think he has been generally undervalued throughout the rating process. I see a very talented young man, and I think he’ll play a lot and have a really good solid career at ND. Are you seeing an elite difference maker? Regardless, we’ll be active in the portal because this is a disappointing receiver class, in numbers and in talent. And yet, both Richardson and Burress might prove this wrong. Hope so.

You said none are obvious difference makers and he will be a solid contributor down the road. I think he has more potential than that.

Let’s hope he realizes that level of potential.

You do know Kelly tried to hire Freeman to be his DC at LSU. He had a bunch of other offers as well.

Wrs haven’t produced at nd? Austin, claypool, Boykin, st brown, fuller 2 seasons, tj jones … 7 seasons out of 9 where we had a wr with over 850 yds …

If we make a playoff run Collins will be first wr to eclipse 500 yds in a season last 3 years

Kelly is clearly taking the easy path since deciding to part ways with nd

Freeman showed himself as great defensive recruiter so I’m sure Kelly wanted him, so he could recruit less

Claypool played in 19

From 20 thru 24 our wr play has been average to bad. That's 5 seasons

These kids were 12 or 13 when Claypool was here. And he's not doing anything in the league

So yes wrs have not produced at ND recently and the recruits see that.

I just read that Burress only had 36 catches over 11 games, but that he scored 14 tds! That’s an incredible ratio of tds to catches. And now with His first playoff game he caught five passes for two tds. Do you happen to know the quality of his competition?

I think he plays in the best competition in Jersey. They play a lot of good schools.

The wr opposite him is committed to OSU and Burress has been better than him this year. And the rb is going to ND.

James and Burress play for the same HS?
