Kelly is crashing n burning

Discussing him is nothing more than mental masturbation

Why didn’t you call him a prick when he was coaching Notre Dame?
Because when he left he validated what we all suspected when he was our coach - he is a weasel who left in the middle of the night whining about the lack of a training table n good facilities. He’s a self centered prick who can’t motivate anyone because he’s fake n kids know it

Kelly's value is primarily for entertainment. As has been said ad nauseum....he's well paid for it. If its too painful to read, go watch a movie.

So we got another BK hate thing going I see. They did have the #1 class just a couple weeks ago. And they lost old boy to Mich, everyone knows that. Then they lost a couple of other random four stars, and they also were outbid by Texas for one of their two five star CBs they had committed. And then there's Meadows, who really wasn't even committed. And then ended up at Bama of all places, and not ND or LSU. So they were on the wrong end of a few flips!

But they still ended up with a better class than ND of course. And they flipped a five star OL. So they got one flip. I assume that's where this is coming from. Chagrin, at ND's comparative inferiority next to LSU on the recruiting front. He did not promise LSU was going to win a title next year. I'm not even sure what the 'taking receipts' remark even means exactly. Other than it's some tough movie-dialogue style rhetoric to make at the close of a fairly ho hum season for a program that had no reason to expect a whole lot more than that. 10-2 and a playoff bid was definitely within their power, and the A&M loss felt like a wasted win that should have been theirs. But that would have been overachieving, and instead went 8-4 which was one below the 9-3 I had them pegged for.

When you sign with ND, your a 3 star. When you flip to an SEC team, your a 5 star......the margin between a top 20 and number 1 class is proven time and time again to be irrelevant. We have numerous 3 stars that play, are in the Senior bowl and considered the best in the country. If we have learned anything, its this coaching staff goes after a "type" and not a star. Their CB's have two traits, Long and fast....they teach the position. Watch Moore on the pick from Gray. That dude is clear across the field and meets him at the 10. Look at our RB's and LB. KVA is a 5 star if he signs with Bama, its just fact. Duece Knight was a 4 star, until he signed with Auburn and now is a 5.
As long as MF is between 1 and 15, with the auto downgrade for ND, that's a top 5 class.

WTF are you babbling about? Now ND has totally elite talent? Forget the notion that stars don't matter or are overrated and what matters is development, and proper selectivity and shrewd scouting, and some sort of holistic thing where the sum is greater than the parts or something like that and that's what really matters. You're saying that the rankings are just bunk. ND's three star commits and just plain flat better than LSU's four and five stars. They're superior prospects right now. On a neutral field so to speak. It's ND who has the #1 class in the country right now today, not LSU or Bama or any other SEC team presumably. And LSU would rather have this current ND '25 class than their own, because it's just straight up better.

Alright then, cool!

I certainly agree that the way he left was despicable

But no one was calling him a prick when he was coaching at Notre Dame

Let’s not forget he did very well at Cincinnati and that he resurrected Notre Dame’s football program, those are undeniable facts

They are undeniable facts, and I don’t recall specific names he was called here; but there were a lot of disgruntled fans after he flirted with the NFL before our championship game against Alabama, and again for putting his friendship with Van Gorder above the team, and for his press conferences after a loss where he was perceived to throw the players under the bus. I suspect prick was used here to describe Kelly multiple times.

Did you just wake up from another drunken stupor ?

Get off the floor, have another drink and go back to sleep.
You just changed your handle slightly but are the same old dope. Off to ignore with you.

I was one of those disgruntled fans when I learned that he was flirting with the Eagles before the game with Alabama.

That soured me on him ……… significantly

I was further soured by his treatment of Manti Teo

I’m no fan of his, but he’s gone !

Goodbye

So you ask who was saying these things as if it didn’t happen, but then acknowledge that you yourself did? WTF are you looking for here? You’re being weird.

PLENTY of people weren’t fans of his throughout his ND campaign. I surely don’t remember the board being in cohesion regarding Brian Kelly. Hell, I don’t think we’d all agree that the sky is blue or that water is wet, let alone be all in on our perception of him.

I was a huge fan all 12 seasons.

Words to live by. FYI, world leaders should consult TelX Always money. Always my wing man. He should be his own website like Google. “Ask TelX.”

Those asshats on X should consult TelX.com before typing their nonsense.

Thats all I got

I, theskibro, posted many times about Kelly being a paper tiger, a joke and a prick

In the world of defining a person’s character and being a quality human being, It does not matter that Kelly won games and righted the ship. That’s nice. But, He is a shallow purple faced fool when it comes to human relations
A politician

Heck, hitler won progress for Germany for several years. And most German's saluted him. He was not a good person. Understatement.
And he crashed n burned

I think Kelly is embarrassed n desperate that he has failed at LSU and claiming he will be in natty next year is a foolish ploy that sets him up for a hot seat and gives LSU admin an excuse to get rid of him if he has an underperforming year

There’s a difference between being critical of him and his coaching style and calling him a prick while he was coachingat Notre Dame.

There’s a difference between being disgruntled and calling him a prick

So I’ll ask you like I asked the others name the posters who called him a prick while he was coaching Notre Dame.

I’ve got better things to do then find n resurrect my post
TelX can vouch for me. So can Golson n many others. I categorized Kelly as - in fact - a “small prick” as early as 2016.

I also did a post based on factual feedback from some ND player parents who said Kelly was a prick

Why the disbelief? Condoms are one size fit all. So it’s not like you need to know

This was written about the longest tenured head coach in the history of Notre Dame Foofball.

Outlasted Ara, outlasted Lou, everyone. Yet, described as a “…prick and a joke.”

I can understand passionate criticism, but calling the sitting Notre Dame head coach a prick, contemporaneously, seems extreme.

I don’t recall anyone’s criticism rising to that level, but if you say so …

The day/week after either the Miami or Michigan beat downs would be good starting points.

I'm saying the diff between the #20 class and the #1 class is based on fractions of a % of an athlete that is judged by who sees them, who they sign with and what recruiting service gets paid. Look, i get it, many on here feel your BK's mom. I don't know if that's true, nor do I care. But saying LSU ended up with a better class is based on services that over rate SEC and under rate ND....continually.

I despise of this man and was never happier when he left ND. Excuse my french but "f" that guy.

But I will say this. The SEC is a very rough conference to win in. Think about it. With the expansion and add the caliber of teams they did to the conference, talent is spread around far more than in years past with the NIL deals as well. I honestly think it will be a tough for any SEC team to ever go unbeaten. I think you'll see a lot of 1 and 2 loss teams every season moving forward.

ND's schedule this year was a cakewalk by comparison.
ND had two top 25 pre-season, FSU was a bust. USC bad record, but in every game to the last 4 minutes and beating LSU thats probably a top 25 team with a brutal schedule. I think PSU would agree. Louisville is a good team as we saw them paste KY (SEC). Army I guess we will see. But yes, we needed both USC and FSU to do better.

TX won the B12 championship once in the last 15 years and their first year in the SEC are #1 and favored. So maybe the SEC is brutal, maybe this year its Meh...

The new system will tell us, i hope they expand it to 16 teams, drop the autos, move to a tru selection like the NCAA. Make conferences play more of each other in round 1....so we get less in-breeding.

Ask ND to pick up a 13th game.

I remember people calling him that and much worse than that as well. Not that surprising

Anybody see Kelly's comments regarding NIL and recruiting? He's implying LSU needs to step up its NIL efforts, while schools like ND and OSU have a strong donor base. Surprised to hear that, since many on this board say ND doesn't compete NIL wise for recruits.

I’m pretty sure he downplayed NIL earlier in the year too, specifically regarding defensive line IIRC.

That's a ridiculous question. You think ai can remember people's names on a message board and what year that they said it. Just ridiculous
You were the one who recollected the conversations

Now all of a sudden, you don’t recall anything

Before he abandoned Notre Dame, I don’t recall anyone calling him a prick while he was coaching at Notre Dame

I pulled it up in another thread. So I guess you were wrong or forgot and that ends that debate

More Kelly excuses. He went to lsu for nil and better facilities n easier recruiting. Now lsu needs to do more. Joke
