How much more do we have to endure? Can no one at ND see the smoke and fire from the fan base behind their perch? Do they even care? No way Kelly should coach here as many seasons as Lou Holtz. Nebraska fired their 4 and 8 coach after 3 seasons. What do we do. Not a damn thing. This idle behavior is more embarrassing than Kelly's beatdown in South Beach and Palo Alto. 9 min to go last night down 18 and we run it 3 straight plays. If Kelly has quit then just fire him and get him out of South Bend.

Must endure the unendurable!

I won't argue or complain if they replace BK. We know what we've got now---I want better than I've seen the past three weeks.

I agree with you 100% but I I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Is it even feasible to throw a bunch of cash at Bob Stoops if BK leaves at some point? Would that be a solid hire? Meanwhile, take it for what it is. No expectations and once in awhile get delightfully surprised (USC, MSU, NCST).

The problem is coaching talent. There is only a handful of elite talent in the coaching field. We know the names. Besides those 3-4 coaches, (and I think chip Kelly can be added to that group) you have to be EXTREMELY lucky and HOT to win a title (see auburn).

I know there has to be a better coach out there, but the question is will he even consider ND ?
Is the administration even putting out feelers to other coaches ?
I never liked Kelly because I did think his offensive system was good enough to win at ND. Since
He is here, I liked him even less than when he was hired.
I was really excited about the new hires and the changes that Kelly made, and the Team looked
Really good despite the close loss to Ga. the defense was aggressive , and the offense with Wimbush and
Adams seem to have great upside ?
Then along came WF, yes we won, but I thought that WF was able to exploit some weaknesses that
I had not seen earlier ? Navy hung in there with us as well.
In short , ND had two seasons in one. The first half they looked really good, and the second half,
They looked very average to not very good at all !
So far, that had been the story since Kelly has come to ND, good starts and poor finishes !
ND once stood for Greatness. For whatever reason, that is no longer the case !
A good friend , who knew a lot more about the X’s and O’s Of football than I do, once told me during the Divine Years, when people wanted to “ Hang “ Divine on campus for losing a game or two, that Football was getting more and more Competitive, and the Talent was no longer going to ND like it once had !
I didn’t want to believe him, and Lou proved him wrong for a time, but except for Lou’s time at
ND, we have really not been very elite for about 35 years or so !
I hate to even entertain the though, but is Kelly as good as ND can do ? Sure hope not?

ND isn’t winning a national title ever again in my opinion. I’d like to see them be where Stanford is right now. Respected, winning some big road games, and winning major bowl games.

ND has none of that in eight years of this mess of a head coach.

That's why I don't fantasize about something I have no control over. It's way above my paygrade.
