I don't know how to respond to that. I was trying to mock my compatriot here. I guess I was hoping you would pick up on that. But maybe you did and you still think I'm an idiot. You are an idiot. You are an idiot.
In any case.....

I’m not saying Saben currently has a dog in the fight. I was arguing the reason he left, when he still had a dog in the fight.Saban no longer has a dog in the fight, so that’s not what he’s upset about.
It’s not going to be more difficult to dominate, it’s going be easier, because the schools with the most money will be able to assemble a better team. Ohio State proved that this year.
Whether or not Notre Dame benefit is irrelevant, objectively and globally, from 30,000 feet, the combination of NIL and the portal has been a detriment to college football
Your argument regarding the reason shy Saban left is strictly conjecture on your part.I’m not saying Saben currently has a dog in the fight. I was arguing the reason he left, when he still had a dog in the fight.
Previously there was an 8 year stretch with with only 4 teams winning a national title. Since NIL began we have had 3 different title winners in 3 years, I would argue it has led to more teams having an ability to dominate.
I also would argue the expanded playoff led OSU to a championship as well. They wouldn’t have made a 4 team playoff in previous years.
More than any year in the past decade, this past year was the most even among the top 8 teams during the regular season. I believe NIL & the transfer portal led to that dispersion of talent. It’s much harder for top teams to have a talented 2 deep in todays game.
I never said Boise or SMU were the same caliber. The automatic bids are a completely different issue that should be addressed. I simply said the expanded playoff allowed a 2 loss Ohio State team a chance at a national title, that is all.Your argument regarding the reason shy Saban left is strictly conjecture on your part.
Your argument regarding NIL’s impact on National Champions is flawed.
NIL was decided in July 2021.
NIL, by itself, had very little, if any, impact on rosters in the succeeding seasons
It was only until December of 2023 when a federal court ruled on an action brought by Biden’s DOJ and Leticia James and 9 other AG’s that there was a seismic shift in college athletics, hence the full impact on college football wasn’t felt until the 2024 season.
Expansion of the CFP was inevitable and had nothing to do with NIL or the transfer portal.
Do you really think that Boise State and SMU where of the same caliber as Notre Dame, Texas, Ohio State and others ?
As to your last sentence, Notre Dame proved you dead wrong as this years defensive line was 2 deep:
I didn’t say that the transfer portal didn’t hurt depth.I never said Boise or SMU were the same caliber. The automatic bids are a completely different issue that should be addressed. I simply said the expanded playoff allowed a 2 loss Ohio State team a chance at a national title, that is all.
Your defense on teams still having plenty of depth is ND’s D-Line? Lol. What a hilarious point.
I actually don’t understand how the open transfer portal doesn’t hurt the depth of teams? It seems pretty obvious if a player in the 2 deep wants to start, they will transfer.
I guess you’re going to argue that losing Spindler & Pendleton doesn’t effect ND’s depth on the offensive line in 2025?
So you agree? The transfer portal hurts depth. Ok, thank you.I didn’t say that the transfer portal didn’t hurt depth.
But Notre Dame lost its entire defensive line and still managed to man a very stout defensive line., so evidently Notre Dame had ample depth
Maybe one of your problems is that you keep guessing rather than presenting facts

The transfer portal creates instability and roster uncertainty and it also creates chaos with recruiting. So you agree? The transfer portal hurts depth. Ok, thank you.
Mills injury really hurt ND in the title game. Wish we had more depth at that position…
Maybe one of your problems is you keep complaining about an issue (NIL) that isn’t going away anytime soon. Unless you have information that it is going back to the courts?
It appears you simply like to argue.
I think that ship has sailed. The transfer portal creates instability and roster uncertainty and it also creates chaos with recruiting.
You’re dead wrong, while NIL is a problem, I’ve repeatedly stated that SCOTUS has essentially guaranteed it survival.
The real problem is the transfer portal, especially in combination with NIL.
The combination of those two items has destabilized college football and turned it into a free agent bidding war
Well why don't you start a political movement, and use the transfer portal as your bloody shirt? You know how many disgruntled CFB fans there are out there who might rally behind your banner. And you could exploit their contempt. And even though you're just a troll, and everything you post is merely a contrived pose, they don't care, they really do hate the portal and NIL, but because their feelings are sincere, and they're not internet trolls like yourself, eventually they make their peace with it, while you simply use it as fodder for posting so it's as if your consternation never dims. The transfer portal creates instability and roster uncertainty and it also creates chaos with recruiting.

You’re too stupid to understand the deeper meaning behind the phrase: “All that’s needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.”Well why don't you start a political movement, and use the transfer portal as your bloody shirt? But if you were clever, and artful enough, maybe you could tap that latent rage, that's now beginning to fade into resignation. You could be the demagogue this moment in history if crying out for.
Not true. I recognize it all too well. You are that deeper meaning, sir. You've always been that deeper meaning. The time for timid online rhetoric is past. Time for practical action, drastic action! You’re too stupid to understand the deeper meaning behind the phrase: “All that’s needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.”
Alternatively, without constructive criticism, progress is impossible
You can either accept a death sentence and do nothing to avoid it, or you can make your objections and your voice heard in an attempt to alter your fate
You choose to accept a framework that’s detrimental to college football, whereas I choose to voice my objections to it.
