I am not at all surprised. It was Penn State‘s first interesting game of the playoffs. If there was a game PSU fans would circle on their calendar, that was the game of the playoffs. Not true for the Irish.

About this. 60/40 is a good estimate. Lots of ND fans wearing white/blue and gold colors

But I would say PSU had an extra 8-10k. However plenty loud both sides

On TV it seemed like 70% Penn State fans.

From our seats it looked like PSU had 3/4 their side and the north end zone. But ND had a portion of the PSU side, south end zone and the ND side. There were PSU fans sprinkled on our side but it was loud AF when ND scored.

It sure sounded like a PSU crowd during the game on TV. Not surprised, they travel well and are the biggest Alumni base in the world.
