Many OSU DL had nothing but praise for the Irish OL and their Jr starting DE - Jack Sawyer - said that this was the best OL- BY FAR - that they've played against in the last few years. That was an evenly matched game between two really, really good teams.

In other words, even with this tough loss, don't count the Irish out just yet. They have the tools in place to run the table.

Next 2 weeks are going to be big tests before USC. Can MF rally the team and get them refocused. That loss was crushing.

Duke is a night game and gameday will be there. They will be amped up like never before. Louisville is undefeated. Both on the road.

Big tests. Lets see how the coaching staff and team responds. Backs are against the wall now

11 players on the field on defense every single play would be a good start, especially after a timeout.

You would think the OSU oline will be very complimentary of the the ND dline also.

It's not every team that will let give them 1 less player to block on the most critical moments of a game

Frankly, if OSU runs the table this loss won’t hurt them if they too run the table. GA looks like the only SEC playoff team, so no reason ND can’t fill one of the open 3 spots. Also, much better to have your loss in September than November, right?

No margin for error now. Seeing how they bounce back these next 2 weeks will be telling

The USC game in 3 weeks will also be "telling..."
How they respond these next 2 weeks will be telling.

We are more talented and the better team the next 2 weeks. How they respond in the face of adversity will be telling if they will crumble and the season will be a disaster or if they stand up and we still have a chance at a big time year

We can play great against SC and still lose. But we need to put ourselves in a position to make that a big game.

So playing Duke will be telling, USC not as much.

Got it.

Wait! This board said we were in trouble when HH resigned!

There will be a ton of Notre Dame fans in Durham on Saturday to help rally the troops.

All we did Saturday was reaffirm that we are the third best team in the tristate area.
