Cgvr, should Coach Kelly be fired?

You only hate him because he is twice the man you are, crazy dude.

Hey, good to see you. Hoping that the little one is keeping you on your toes.

Some day our fan base will understand that we are staring down a potentially massive NCAA hit for having academically ineligible players.

"Notre Dame will voluntarily vacate any victories in which they participated," said Rev. John I. Jenkins, Notre Dame's president. It could be multiple seasons. I doubt the NCAA is interested in showing us mercy.

In addition, under kelly's watch we had kung fu Tommy knee a cop. We had Calabrese threaten cops with a mob hit. "My people". (His people regularly got beaten to a pulp on LI. That's another story.) We had Mahone assault a cop and threaten police with a glock. In addition he was charged with assault on a police officer, a first degree felony; intimidation of a public servant, a third degree felony; and vandalism of a government entity, a fifth degree felony. We recently had former player shembo punt a toy dog to death. We had Michael Floyd driving around like Mister Magoo (3 run ins with the law involving alcohol). He didn't miss a game under kelly.

ESPN just won their case and we will have to open up our campus arrest records. The Fauria and Yeatman episodes might be humorous. We had a bunch of players arrested for underage drinking. There's a bunch of other crap, but under dunderheads watch we appear to have lost control....much like him.

PS This article was written by a Notre Dame grad concerning shembo's other notorious "incident".

If wins are vacated, I don't really see the impact it has on the current state of the program. You're living in a state of fear, don't worry big guy, if it happens, it happens. You've been stuck on this like Pers and his 5.9 recruiting rankings. Since Gruden is the only candidate you've mentioned, oh and Dungy haha You want a list of the issues Gruden's players have run into from the Bucs and Raiders. Naaa, you don't want that.

I'll take Dan Mullen. Any one but the current fraud!
Once again, you throw something against the wall and try to see what sticks.

Dan Mullen has a 55-35 overall record at Mississippi State and a 26-30 (that's a losing record, for your information) record in the SEC.

You're wrong again. But don't worry, you're batting about .050.

CGVR and Bodi, you guys or girls are idiots. Your post on the board has nothing of value to the program of Notre Dame. Please leave and go to another board, I feel dumber on every thread I read from you jerk offs.

BTW Gruden is bringing in about 8 million a year at the Mother Ship. He has a nice gig, why leave at this time for coaching?

When you trot out Melinda Hennenberger, you lose any credibility you might possibly have had.

I don't know much about her other than she's an '80 grad. Her article on this tragedy is a disturbing read. I've been told that shembo is the centerpiece of the ESPN investigation.

Did you ever wonder why, as hard as David Haugh and Hennenberger tried, the Shembo/Seeburg story never got any traction nationally? With all those people out there who would cream in their pants over the opportunity to throw dirt on ND, nobody took the story and ran with it? No 30 for 30, no between the lines, nada. Because when you dig into the whole story, there is no story.

What had Dan Mullen done at Mississippi State?
A whole lot considering its an also ran school in the SEC. He gets a lot out of very little. He reminds me of a guy like Brey. Mullen had MSU at no. 1 in the national polls in November 2014. I'd say that's something.

Again, anyone BUT the current idiot at ND would be an improvement. Mullen is a realistic name. Maybe he'd do better, maybe he wouldn't. Kelly won't do anything special here so it's worth a shot.

No, I never wondered that at all. However, a simple google search shows that the story was covered by major media outlets and went outside US borders to Europe. It also was featured in the film "Hunting Ground". The reality is that ESPN has been pressing ND to disclose public records. They are/were so serious about pursuing this matter that they recently prevailed in court overturning an earlier judgement. For anyone to act like there is nothing there at this point in time is simply wishful thinking. Their effort could be all for nothing or it could be tragic. Both are in play. As for shembo...he hasn't helped his cause.

You missed the whole point when you wrote, "Because when you dig into the whole story, there is no story." Right now they are digging deep. Who knows what they will find?...you surely don't and nor do I, but it's live. An ND attorney who you probably know, not maddog, says ESPN is going straight for the shembo case...hard.

Haugh and Hennenberger operated under the assumption that the Shembo incident and Seeburg's suicide were obviously related. But when you examine her mental health background you realize that you can't make that assumption. But in their zeal to make Shembo and ND culpable, they never recognized that simple thing. So they kept riding the story, everyone else dropped it. Hennenberger even ran her column again later, mysteriously the week leading up to the bcscg in 2012 when she thought she'd get an interested audience. Again, crickets. It's questionable if there even was an incident to start with, with no witnesses, no evidence, just two conflicting stories. Then it's questionable as to whether the questionable incident had any relation to the suicide. So without taking some serious leaps of faith, you have no idea if there's a story or no story at all. And if you don't know, and are a responsible journalist, there is no story.

Is it your suggestion that her suicide was not influenced by the shembo incident? Didn't she receive menacing texts(emails) which also exacerbated the problem? Anyway, ESPN is going hard to get to the bottom of what went on. Quite frankly, shembo's a menace....

The problem is not what is the direct cause of the suicide, but the poor approach used by the Notre Dame police to the entire situation. The police may not have been demonstrably wrong in their behavior, but they could have done an enormously better job.

No, I am not suggesting that. I am suggesting that, given her mental health background, you cannot simply assume that there is a relation between the two. Personally, I have no idea. But the sensational part of the story requires making that assumption, because without it there's really not much there.

My belief has always been, rightly or wrongly, that a police veteran, which is what generally makes up the ND police force, could realize pretty quickly that this was a he said/she said situation with no witnesses and no evidence that was going nowhere. And that's without the police even knowing her mental health background. I could be wrong, but that's been my thought since day one.

May be correct, but there was a long delay before the police could have even gotten to that point. The police delayed far too long before even the first conversation, according to reports, and that is a valid issue for all stake-holders to want to know more about how the police did act. I am not interested in blaming the police, but would want to know that police would act quickly were my child ever to file a report or complaint. I have not been convinced the police acted with appropriate diligence in this case.

The menacing/other texts/emails that were exchanged immediately following the incident that were made public by her parents suggest otherwise. Folks that have looked into the case know that she had mental health problems. Her demise was obviously triggered/influenced by the enormity of the circumstances surrounding her and shembo. It's not a simple assumption. She was distraught by it.

It's been a while but I believe the police determined that the "warning" text was determined to have come from another student who was not a football player. Isn't that correct?

I don't think the person has been identified. Reports say it was a friend of shembo's...male? female?

Try as you might, cgvr, your hate for ND does not change the fact that Shembo inappropriately touched a girl, no molestation, no deviate behavior, no rape like Winston. It was investigated, dismissed and done for except for haters like you and Nole fans trying to portray it as the filth you see daily at FSU.
