The East Bracket has been filled out. I don't think Villanova will make it out of there.

The Midwest bracket has been filled. I like Kansas' chances of getting out of there.

I agree. Villanova , if they meet Duke, will not win. Duke is hitting on all cylinders at the right time. Depending on the draw, I think ND can get to the sweet sixteen , possibly the elite eight. I don't think any further.

The South bracket has been filled. I'm not sure North Carolina will be able to make it out alive.

That's hilarious that Florida St is a 3 seed and ND a 5.

FSU 7-3 vs top 25 ND 4-8

but ND can win their bracket

i'm so pissed off a crap 19-15 Vanderbilt team and a crap 19-14 Michigan st team can get picked to play in the tournament. if you have more than 12 losses then you shouldn't get in

I think it will be tough for ND to get to the Sweet 16. Princeton is on a roll and West Virginia has wins over Kansas, Baylor, and on the road against Virginia.

But should record against the top 25 be the most important factor, and if so, by how much? FSU lost to Temple and Pitt which is worse than any team ND lost to. ND's worst loss was against G-tech on a buzzer beater. FSU got crushed against that same G-tech team by 22 pts, and, of course, our Irish beat FSU 2 out of 3 times. I understand being rewarded for beating good teams but who you lost to and how badly should matter too. I don't think the committee really thought this one through.

our irish got a very good seeding and i'll be really surprised if they don't get into the sweet 16. Princeton is good but they are not beating a irish that beat a really good florida st team twice and a realy good cardinal squad once. west Virginia is good but they win by forcing you into a lot of turnovers and our irish don't turn the ball over that much

I tend to agree.

Think this year's selection committee basically did a lousy job when it came to seeding. I hate both Duke and UNC ... but how is UNC a #1 seed and Duke a #2 when Duke beat UNC 2 out of 3 too?

Louisville a #3? We split our series with them and they didn't even make it to the ACC semifinals while ND made it to the final.

ND doesn't turn the ball over when their opponent isn't pressing on defence. Huggins and West Virginia apply lots of pressure with their defence.

I think we get penalized by the committee for our mediocre nonconference resume. But the bottom line is, we beat FSU when it mattered. That should count for something. They put too much weight into nonconference games played in November and December. They should put more weight on how you finished.

But that being said, I think we can make another deep run this year. Gonzaga's probably the weakest #1 seed, if we can get that far.

our irish beat the cardinals once this year and they apply as much pressure as anybody and are way more talented than west Virginia. I guess we have agree to disagree when I say our will be in the sweet 16

West Virginia also fouls a lot with their pressure and that's good for the Irish.

Duke lost 8 games and almost lost #9 last night.

Well Iowa St beat West Virginia twice this season and they play a similar style as ND. So maybe ND will beat them if they can get past Princeton.

Iowa State is playing well and could be a sleeper. Wichita State may use their low seeding to motivate them during their dance time too.

Well ND will have to shoot free throws better than they did the past 2 games they played.
They shot them well during most of the season and the fatigue of back to back to back during the ACC tourney won't be as big a factor during the NCAA tourney.

The seedlings are ridiculous. How in the hell can you be ranked 14 in both the AP and Coaches rankings, having beaten FSU twice in 3 games, and yet we are a 5 seed. It pure biased bullshit

Record vs top 25.......
Maybe, but that seems really narrow minded. FSU has more bad losses than ND as well. We can attempt to explain any of this away, but in the end it's still pure biased bullshit. And FSU is ranked lower than us in both polls.

so how many of you guys and gals took off Thursday and Friday like me to watch as many games as possible

Sounds like no one thinks Princeton is going to be a challenge. Beware...they are really good. ND better not look ahead to Saturday. It's called Madness for a reason and a #5 has been beaten by a #12 every year since the tournament expanded....since the Ivies started giving $$$$ the league has gotten some really good players....
