Coaching is in their DNAHe may be successful. I could see him bringing in Saban to help.
Not at allI’m not sure his style would work in the college game.
Exactly, he was the GM for the Patriots during his entire tenure. To say he's not suited for college football is a dumb and ignorant comment. The man can coach and evaluate talent.
Belichik and Craft had a unique relationship
That won’t be easy, if at all possible, to duplicate in the NFL
CONTROL is critical and college may provide him with the control he wants/needs
He can also manage and structureExactly, he was the GM for the Patriots during his entire tenure. To say he's not suited for college football is a dumb and ignorant comment. The man can coach and evaluate talent.
In the NFL. College football is a different animal. He's actually not a bad fit for college, he's a terrible fit for collegeExactly, he was the GM for the Patriots during his entire tenure. It wasn’t hard for the pros, it was a change from the prior system, and you have to understand the resistance mentality when a new coach is hired. In the NFL. College football is a different animal. He's actually not a bad fit for college, he's a terrible fit for college
Also he is 73 now. Not 53. How did that work for Mack Brown?
And as an evaluator for the Patriots his last 10 years, he was pretty bad. Like one of the worst gms in football. One of the main reasons he got fired from the Patriots.
If you bring Brady with him, it would be a great hire. Without Brady, not so much. He's not going to be able to berate his qbs like he did with Brady. That's the only guy it worked with
Another thing that is bad for college is his defense is extremely difficult to pick up. It was hard for pros when they had unlimited time. Now teach that to 18 year olds who have classes and limited practice
Good luck.
All the kids will have played in a different system or multiple different systems except the freshman and freshmen to be. By the time he has a roster full of his own guys he will be 77 years old.It wasn’t hard for the pros, it was a change from the prior system, and you have to understand the resistance mentality when a new coach is hired.
It’s not difficult to teach college players the “system” when they haven’t been exposed to prior systems
Maybe he is ?Why would Belichik interview unless he was sincerely interested in the North Carolina job?
You don’t know anything about the defenses that he would craftAll the kids will have played in a different system or multiple different systems except the freshman and freshmen to be. By the time he has a roster full of his own guys he will be 77 years old.
His defense is multiple and complex. It will be a challenge for young kids to pick up unless he makes major changes to it
And either do you.You don’t know anything about the defenses that he would craft
He’s a defensive genius who created defenses that were “team specific”
Donald Trump is currently 78
Taking shots at a dude with 8 Super Bowl rings, 7 as a head coach, is unique. And either do you.
I do know he struggled his last 4 years coaching without Brady and got fired. Then no nfl team hired him
I also know he's never coached in college football coaching 18 to 22 year olds and he will be 73 years old next year. That is not a recipe for success
If he does well, all praise to him. But in my opinion he will be a fish out of water. We will see
I'm not talking shots at what he's done in his NFL career. Do I have to kiss the rings every time I post about him?Taking shots at a dude with 8 Super Bowl rings, 7 as a head coach, is unique.
That guy is kissing his brown puckered ring!I'm not talking shots at what he's done in his NFL career. Do I have to kiss the rings every time I post about him?
Or can I say how I think he will do in a job he's never done before? Is that allowed or no?
I also don't think Marcus Freeman would make a great NFL coach so is that a problem for you too?
You are unique as you don't think anyone who has made money or has been successful can be critiqued or discussed
Very unique indeed
