I went to the Louisville game and thought the crowd noise was pretty good there at times. Mostly though the fans in my section (lower level 26) were mild mannered. I stood only during key plays out of respect for those behind me… I also went to the Penn State “white out” game against Washington last month. My son is a student there. Everyone in white waving white pom poms, screaming and standing nearly the entire game. Only a smattering of Washington fans in purple. The energy level at that game was rock concert level. At the Louisville game, it felt at times like I was sitting and standing like I was at Mass… I will be at the playoff game. I intend to stand nearly the entire time and wave the yellow towel and cheer on the Irish. I hope to God everyone else does the same and any red in the stands is drowned out by green and gold.
