What do we make of Army? I watched some of their game a couple of weeks ago. They struck me as being very big on the offensive line
but over all team speed was slow. They haven't played anyone of note, but they are 9-0 so they deserve respect.
So, will this be another Navy or Northern Illinois?

It could be either Navy or NIU. Navy choked while NIU played very well.

I wouldn’t assume an easy win just because they’re Army. Triple option teams are a load to handle. Freeman is more risky by nature so I would be concerned about getting ripped up on the ground. Hopefully ND learned enough from Navy and has done their homework.

Offense can’t turn it over which goes for any game, but especially against a heavy run offense that grinds down the clock.

This is true, they're obviously pretty good, and they have an unconventional offense, so you never know. And you don't want to fall behind, let them eat the clock up, that sort of thing. But if we did need to come back through the air we probably could against these guys.

ND should treat the next 2 games as a playoff game. Definitely vs USC. I don’t think the Irish get in with 2 losses due to the NIU loss.

I feel however ND will win out and be a lock fir the plsyofffs.

Army is more physical than navy but not as explosive they’re going to be very sound in both sides of the ball but shouldn’t be able to keep up with our options and athleticism

Can’t beat ourself like we did vs Virginia with missed assignments and costly penalties

That's fair. I suppose that's sort of what they're all naturally thinking. But sometimes players don't even trip out on all the contingencies, and aren't even aware. Too distracting, too much pressure. But it sounds like MF is beating that drum pretty steady. Remember the Alamo! Remember NIU!
