How am I changing the subject?
Do you want to continue on with ND and the abundance of NFL talent that they have?
You asked for a list. I gave you current juniors and seniors that are currently receiving NFL grades.
You could have went through the list and simply said agree or disagree with the players I listed.
But instead, you want to say I am changing the subject and then you bring up coaches from over 50 years ago.
Also, I am not saying talent is the deciding factor. However, when coaches have the more talented roster and the lose to teams with less talent season after season, that coach will be looking for a new job.

Then the writers and talking heads will have nothing to do for a few months .. lol
"I still want to see their defense a few games before proclaiming them as better than the last few defensive units."
Their 1st 3 games will not be a good barometer -- Indiana, Western KY and Youngstown State
Some of those guys are a little ambitious to be named future NFL players. They still have a lot to prove at the college level.

We all hope you are right and every game vs teams not called Ohio State, Clemson and USC are laughers … but anyone who has watched even a little bit of college football knows that there will be a nail biter or two. The other teams also give scholarships and hold practices.
Here’s a three part quiz for you, try to answer it without seeking help from people who actually know something about football.
1. What percentage of All-Americans make it to the NFL ?
2. What percentage of NON-All Americans make it to the NFL ?
3. What percentage is higher, # 1 or # 2 ?
And theres not 4 ap preseason teams. There is 2. And thats about 48 players
About 270 players get drafted every year

AP Isn’t the only entity that publishes All American teams.
And I never cited AP as my source.
Other publications go three and four teams deep.
Four teams equates to 104 players
And on four teams, only two ND players made a team, Alt and Morrison.
Which one goes 4 deep? Cite all the sources
And they'd 270 draftees so your missing 160 nfl platers.
And not all 104 are draft eligible so thats like 190ish players

You claimed that the the All American teams only go two teams deep.
Many go three deep.
Why do I always have to do your research for you and prove you wrong ?
No, there are lots of others and they go 3 deep and other than Alt and Morrison no other ND players made the lists.

1. Because I don't care and don't have time to look up years and years of all american teams and then check the nfl draft.
2. Because I know we are going to have a bunch of nfl players on our team who never make an all american team. So why would it matter
You don’t have to look up prior years because the answers are axiomatic !
You just have to have an IQ above 10 to understand that.

What I’m saying is pretty simple.
You stated that ND is loaded with NFL talent.
I challenged that statement and asked you to name the loads of NFL talent that currently populates the 2023 team other than Alt and Morrison.
You listed some names, names that aren’t on the radar screen of the folks that essentially rank 2023’s college football players.
NFL talent at the college level is very special talent, it‘s talent that’s obvious, especially to those who evaluate college talent, and other than Alt and Morrison those analysts don’t see loads of recognizable NFL talent on the 2023 team, as you declared.
As I stated previously, had you stated that the team had some, “potential NFL talent“ that might have been a more accurate statement.

Why haven't any of the players you named been mentioned as All-American candidates if they possess NFL talent ?
Certainly players with NFL TALENT would be head and shoulders above their peers and easily recognizable by those who evaluate players. NFL TALENT would certainly elevate them to All American status, if not First team, certainly third or fourth team, but I don’t see any of the players you named listed on any All American team.
You’ve been one of those critical of the lack of development and regressing of some players as they ascended toward their senior year, so how can you predict and project the trajectory of each of the players you named ?
Answer, you can’t, you’re just speculating from your very limited data base !
So again, you show your lack of football knowledge by avoiding to answer the question.
You asked me to name the ND NFL talent. I did that by naming the juniors and seniors that are NFL talent.
You, rebuffed that by saying those names are not on “lists”.
I then asked you to tell me what names on my list are not NFL talent???
Tell me why you feel Javontae Jean-Baptiste and Mills are not NFL talent???
I also asked are you saying out of the whole ND roster only 2 players are NFL talent???

It’s very simple, I don’t know if they qualify or are deemed to be NFL talent.
In fact, I’m not qualified to evaluate and determine whether or not a college player, especially an underclasmen, is deemed to have NFL talent, AND NEITHER ARE YOU.
But here’s a question for you.
If we’re so “loaded with NFL talent”, as you stated, why aren’t we ranked higher than 13th or 14th in all of the polls ?
Certainly a team “loaded with NFL talent” would be ranked in the top four or better.
So, with all of that NFL talent, why are we ranked so poorly ?

Because 200 kids get drafted every year that dont make all american teams. Pretty simple

I hope that ND wins every game, but posturing that ND is a lock to win games against what you deem are pushover opponents is indicative that you’re the one with a low football IQ
