How am I changing the subject?Let’s not change the subject.
I might agree that Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia might have an abundance of “NFL TALENT” I just don’t think that ND is at their level yet.
As to “TALENT” being the deciding factor in the outcome of the games you might want to see how Notre Dame and Ohio State fared against Ara Parseghian coached Norhwestern teams before claiming that “talent” alone will determine the outcome of the games. !
"More reason to delay this stupid ranking(popularity) contest until Oct"Who really knows how good they are until they play a couple games. More reason to delay this stupid ranking(popularity) contest until Oct
"I still want to see their defense a few games before proclaiming them as better than the last few defensive units."Yeah, I'm reading the same on their sites and I really believe that the o-line will be fine but might take a few games to gel.
I still want to see their defense a few games before proclaiming them as better than the last few defensive units. Let's be honest, the OSU defense has collapsed in several games - especially late in big games - over the last 3 or 4 years. Georgia and Michigan weren't the only ones to drill them ---- several teams put up big yards and points on them from 2020 through 2022.
Some of those guys are a little ambitious to be named future NFL players. They still have a lot to prove at the college level.I will list players that are either juniors or seniors,
OT Joe Alt
OT Blake Fisher
QB Sam Hartman
RB Audric Estime
WR/RB Chris Tyree
WR Jayden Thomas
WR Deion Colzie
OC Zeke Correll
DEFENSE
CB Cam Hart
Rylie Mills
Javontae Jean-Baptiste
Jordan Botelho ?
Xavier Watts
Again, these are only the juniors and seniors.
I will list freshman/sophomore if you would like.
Okie dokieIt should only be a tough game for other teams outside the top 25
I wake up happy 363 days a year, and I have an abundance of terrific friends, I just don’t suffer fools lightly !WOW!! You are a miserable human being. Lighten up, lifes short
Anyone who doesn’t understand the respective levels of talent and the recognition of same is an idiot ………. and that would be YOU !All American teams have nothing to do with nfl
You're an idiot
👍Some of those guys are a little ambitious to be named future NFL players. They still have a lot to prove at the college level.
Hope so because you sure don't portray thatI wake up happy 363 days a year, and I have an abundance of terrific friends, I just don’t suffer fools lightly !
This is “light“ for me.
Very few know better than me as to how fragile and short life can be.
We all hope you are right and every game vs teams not called Ohio State, Clemson and USC are laughers … but anyone who has watched even a little bit of college football knows that there will be a nail biter or two. The other teams also give scholarships and hold practices. Not even ranked
Here’s a three part quiz for you, try to answer it without seeking help from people who actually know something about football. All American teams have nothing to do with nfl
You're an idiot

And theres not 4 ap preseason teams. There is 2. And thats about 48 playersAnyone who doesn’t understand the respective levels of talent and the recognition of same is an idiot ………. and that would be YOU !
No need to hope as I’ve been blessed to be able to enjoy a very good life.Hope so because you sure don't portray that
AP Isn’t the only entity that publishes All American teams. And theres not 4 ap preseason teams. There is 2. And thats about 48 players
About 270 players get drafted every year
Think about it
Which one goes 4 deep? Cite all the sourcesAP Isn’t the only entity that publishes All American teams.
And I never cited AP as my source.
Other publications go three and four teams deep.
Four teams equates to 104 players
And on four teams, only two ND players made a team, Alt and Morrison.
You deliberately avoided answering my questions, so I’ll ask them again.Which one goes 4 deep? Cite all the sources
And they'd 270 draftees so your missing 160 nfl platers.
And not all 104 are draft eligible so thats like 190ish players
Nice try though
Athlonsports.com goes four deep.Which one goes 4 deep? Cite all the sources
And they'd 270 draftees so your missing 160 nfl platers.
And not all 104 are draft eligible so thats like 190ish players
Nice try though
So you named 1 source. That's all you got?Athlonsports.com goes four deep.
You claimed that the the All American teams only go two teams deep.
Many go three deep.
Why do I always have to do your research for you and prove you wrong ?
A little? Some of those guys are a little ambitious to be named future NFL players. They still have a lot to prove at the college level.
No, there are lots of others and they go 3 deep and other than Alt and Morrison no other ND players made the lists. So you named 1 source. That's all you got?
1. Because I don't care and don't have time to look up years and years of all american teams and then check the nfl draft. No, there are lots of others and they go 3 deep and other than Alt and Morrison no other ND players made the lists.
Why won’t you answer these questions ?
1. What percentage of All-Americans make it to the NFL ?
2. What percentage of NON-All Americans make it to the NFL ?
3. What percentage is higher, # 1 or # 2 ?
Who and why? Some of those guys are a little ambitious to be named future NFL players. They still have a lot to prove at the college level.
You don’t have to look up prior years because the answers are axiomatic !1. Because I don't care and don't have time to look up years and years of all american teams and then check the nfl draft.
2. Because I know we are going to have a bunch of nfl players on our team who never make an all american team. So why would it matter
Which players beside Alt and Morrison are going to make it in the NFL ?1. Because I don't care and don't have time to look up years and years of all american teams and then check the nfl draft.
2. Because I know we are going to have a bunch of nfl players on our team who never make an all american team. So why would it matter
Are you saying NO OTHER ND player will make the NFL???? Instead of you asking soooooo many questions, why don’t you answer some?????Which players beside Alt and Morrison are going to make it in the NFL ?
Why do you need to insert absurd counter issues ?Are you saying NO OTHER ND player will make the NFL???? Instead of you asking soooooo many questions, why don’t you answer some?????
Estime Hartman Fisher Hart MillsWhich players beside Alt and Morrison are going to make it in the NFL ?
“Plenty” ?Estime Hartman Fisher Hart Mills
And then there are plenty who will make it in the younger classes
So again, you show your lack of football knowledge by avoiding to answer the question. Why do you need to insert absurd counter issues ?
What I’m saying is pretty simple.
You stated that ND is loaded with NFL talent.
I challenged that statement and asked you to name the loads of NFL talent that currently populates the 2023 team other than Alt and Morrison.
You listed some names, names that aren’t on the radar screen of the folks that essentially rank 2023’s college football players.
NFL talent at the college level is very special talent, it‘s talent that’s obvious, especially to those who evaluate college talent, and other than Alt and Morrison those analysts don’t see loads of recognizable NFL talent on the 2023 team, as you declared.
As I stated previously, had you stated that the team had some, “potential NFL talent“ that might have been a more accurate statement.
It’s very simple, I don’t know if they qualify or are deemed to be NFL talent. So again, you show your lack of football knowledge by avoiding to answer the question.
You asked me to name the ND NFL talent. I did that by naming the juniors and seniors that are NFL talent.
You, rebuffed that by saying those names are not on “lists”.
I then asked you to tell me what names on my list are not NFL talent???
Tell me why you feel Javontae Jean-Baptiste and Mills are not NFL talent???
I also asked are you saying out of the whole ND roster only 2 players are NFL talent???
Answer the questions Pat
USC and ND will vie for a playoff spot. The season is too simple to figure out.We start out at 13.
We play 7 teams that got votes for the top 25. 7 teams in the top 46 teams in the country
11 and 1 could get us to the Playoff with that tough schedule depending how things shake out
Z : Friend, how do you see the season unfolding? What ‘poster’ is most likely to become unhinged?Yeah, I just don’t get it.
Teams like Duke and Pitt should be taken seriously. However, no way do I have any doubts about the outcome.
I stand by 9 games that “should” be locks.
3 that will be a concern
I would be shocked, if ND lost one of those 9 games.
Because 200 kids get drafted every year that dont make all american teams. Pretty simple“Plenty” ?
Then you should be able to name them.
Why haven't any of the players you named been mentioned as All-American candidates if they possess NFL talent ?
Certainly players with NFL TALENT would be head and shoulders above their peers and easily recognizable by those who evaluate players. NFL TALENT would certainly elevate them to All American status, if not First team, certainly third or fourth team, but I don’t see any of the players you named listed on any All American team.
You’ve been one of those critical of the lack of development and regressing of some players as they ascended toward their senior year, so how can you predict and project the trajectory of each of the players you named ?
Answer, you can’t, you’re just speculating from your very limited data base !
We arent ranked poorly. We're ranked 13thIt’s very simple, I don’t know if they qualify or are deemed to be NFL talent.
In fact, I’m not qualified to evaluate and determine whether or not a college player, especially an underclasmen, is deemed to have NFL talent, AND NEITHER ARE YOU.
But here’s a question for you.
If we’re so “loaded with NFL talent”, as you stated, why aren’t we ranked higher than 13th or 14th in all of the polls ?
Certainly a team “loaded with NFL talent” would be ranked in the top four or better.
So, with all of that NFL talent, why are we ranked so poorly ?
Okay, so I am realizing you are a big ND. However, you have a very low football IQ.It’s very simple, I don’t know if they qualify or are deemed to be NFL talent.

I knew that you wouldn’t answer the question.Okay, so I am realizing you are a big ND. However, you have a very low football IQ.
So I am going to jump off of this back and forth thread with you.
Nothing personal my man, go Irish!!!
