Al Golen leaving?

The newish reality of all this is that coaches, assistants, etc leave on a regular basis anymore. If you're good at what you do... someone else is going to want to hire you.

My biggest issue with all this is that everyone, NFL and NCAA should freeze any transactions like this until after their respective season is over. The NFL is about as sleezy as they come anyway, but poaching college coaches before their season is over is bad.

One does have to question where Goldens head was prior to that game Monday night. You know for a fact that Cincy was in talks with him prior to that game and most likely for several weeks. This crap doesn't just happen over night.
I dont agree with the idea that you can't still be just as determined and hard working while being seduced by an NFL team at the same time.

I think the competitive spirit trumps all else with these coaches at this level. They love what they do and they dont like getting beat. This love/competitive spirit for the sport is essential to rising to the top or else someone else will just out work you and take your job. They are already putting in insane/infinite amounts of hours at the office out of sheer passion/love/competitive drive probably in most cases. If he wants several hours during his week to flirt with the NFL that is his business.

You’re living in a dreamworld

Tell me how a married man with three kids is focused on his marriage while he’s having an affair, flirtatious and/or physical

It’s very difficult to serve two masters and be devoted to both

Seriously? Are you speaking from experience? If not, how would you know?

Remind me to never hire you, if that's the belief you have when someone finds a new job. You're a LOSER

I watched that play via skycast which gives you an overhead view of each play, you're a complete f*cking moron and you don't know sh1t.

On that side of the field Ohio State had Smith lined up on the outside, and Egbuka in the slot.
Notre Dame had Gray lined up with Smith, and Rod Heard lined up with Egbuka. Watts was between the hashes briefly showed blitz and backed off he was 20 yards from the line of scrimmage.

Ball was snapped, Watts was drifting to that side and was in deep coverage to help. Rod Heard fell to the turf leaving Egbuka wide open and Watts was forced to cover Egbuka. The rest of the play is history.

So before you think you know how that play went you clearly didn't see any of that on that play. You are a CLUELESS MORON. Don't quit your day job.
Interesting explanation. Didn’t benefit from this view, and first time reading this explanation. Thank you.

You were the one who initiated the insulting comment?

If you’re gonna dish it out, you better be prepared to take it.
Insulting comment? I merely pointed out the obvious that you clearly don't know shit about football. Not sure at all why that's insulting. And you respond with the ever crushing childish douche bag comment. So I'll stick with; grow up

Bullshit, you made a wise guy comment about me being an adulterer, and then you got your nose bloodied with my response, and then you started whining.

If you’re going to dish it out, you better be prepared to take it.

P.S. I’ve forgotten more about football than you’ll ever know.

You introduced adultery, not me. Forgot more Football haha, do you're a comedian to; very impressive. Forgetting all that Football definitely explains your posts. Thanks for that

He’s lying. I tagged a Video of the play. Watts was never in deep coverage. He was 5-7 yards behind Los. It was a terrible call that made Howard and smith super easy decision making

I cited the impact of distractions and how focus could be lost, be it by flirtation or physical, you were the douche bag who personalized it and accused me.

You’re not just a douche bag, you’re a lying douche bag !

Go lick your wounds somewhere else.

Ouch !

You calling out and mocking Ambrose Wooden a few days ago, for his coverage against Dwayne Jarrett//Matt Leinart on the critical 4th-9 play against USC in 2005, still bothers me.

That was my take watching the play unfold. But, can’t see why Ndinnj would lie about what he observed from a totally different perspective. Regardless, I take Golden’s word that he made a bad call on the play; which of course can be questioned since by saying so he is giving cover to his player. Looked to me that Golden thought throwing maximum pressure at Howard would result in a hurried incomplete or sack, and the Ohio State line and back picked up everyone and gave Howard the time to make the throw. We’d be loving the aggressive call if we sacked Howard, but it turned out to be a poor gamble at one of the most critical plays of the game.

Like you said, what else is Al Golden supposed to say?

Giving Howard such an easy pre snap read, only chance nd had of success was a complete whiff in coverage, a terrible throw Howard hadn’t done all game, or a smith drop, wr with the bear hands in football.

Golden put the game in grays hands.

Even still, Heard fell leaving Egbuka completely free, so if Watts was 7 yards deep or 20 he would have had to pick up Egbuka

I agree, he pulled off his blitz to help

But pre snap everyone in the world knew gray and smith were 1-1 with no help and all the space you could ever want. It made the decision simple… gray plays inside and it’s a go route, gray plays press/top and it’s an inside slant
