IF Clark Lea takes the Vanderbilt job to go to a winless team, He owes it to the psyche of the ND team to not announce anything prior to the Clemson game or prior to the New Year's Playoff game. Announcing the departure of one of your favorite coaches just does not help anything mentally and might just well blow a hole in the side of this ship.
Notre Dame is good enough to make it to the CFP final game if they can play with the swag , determination and confidence displayed in November against Clemson.. Knowing Lea would officially be leaving might upset the team JuJu more than anyone would likely admit.
